Enjoy our New England seasonal menus featuring the finest local ingredients in a warm and casual atmosphere. During the winter you may eat indoors, for an intimate fireside dinner, and during the summer in our restored patio, where you can truly appreciate this magical Vermont setting overlooking the Green Mountains. Lunch on the Terrace with a view of the Golf Course and Mountains

In August and September I ate lunch a few times on the terrace of The Grill. I highly recommend their Fish and Chips, their excellent Humus, and delicious Apple Pie with ice cream. I enjoyed the Veggie Burger on a Brioche bun, and my friend loved her sandwich. The service is very friendly. I noticed that they placed tall warming lamps at every table, so lunch or dinner on a cold day is a possibility. I will check it out, and there is more seafood to discover! Renate

Birthday Dinner for my Mom

We went here on a spur of the moment, I've never been there and not because I didn't want to try it but because it is not "in town" with all of the other restaurants so I never think about it. Tonight we decided to take my mom out for a birthday dinner. We had a party of 7 with 4 adults and 3 kids. The waitress did an awesome job at making sure the table was tended to and that we were not left looking around to ask for something else. Where this place shines is truly with BOTH the service and the quality of the food. We have gone to many places in town and while they are OK they never EXCEED our expectations. Tonight at The Grille we were blown away by the food and service. Is it expensive, yes a bit so it won't be an every night occasion for us, however, we will return. Was it overpriced? Not really... A party of 7 after tip was around $280. The best part is the waitress never once asked if we were ready for our check, she waited until we asked for it so we didn't feel rushed in any way! If you go here and you do not see the mac n cheese on the menu, ask for an order off the kids menu. EVERYONE at the table tasted that mac n cheese (because the 3 year old didn't want it after ordering) and ALL of us had the OMG reaction. They truly need to put that on the adult menu because I would order that next time for sure! Top notch food and service!

Outstanding

My son and I had an amazing lunch on Sunday! The food was extremely fresh and delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and ensured we had a relaxing and safe meal. I was impressed with the cleanliness of MACC which put us at ease. Everyone in the restaurant, including the staff were following the VT state guidelines. The tables were spaced with proper social distancing. We are looking forward to going again soon. Job well done!

Over an hour's wait!

This is certainly not the first time we've eaten here so we should have known better than to schedule anything else for the rest of the day. We went for brunch with reservations and were seated at 11:30. We waited at least 15 minutes for coffee after someone finally took that order. We then ordered our meal immediately but the food didn't come out for another hour. In other words it was 1 hour and 15 minutes from the time we were seated until our meal arrived. It wasn't as if we were sitting around casually drinking cocktails or whatever - simply coffee and a meal. Totally unacceptable.

Snow shoeing lunch

My husband and I enjoyed an afternoon at Mt Anthony's Golf Course and restaurant We ate the most delicious lunch of lamb shanks and blacked steak and relaxed with a few beers. Then we went snow shoeing on the beautiful grounds. The snow was lightly falling and tranquility surrounded us. After an hour we headed back for another beer and relaxed by the fireplace. What a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. We hope to do another lunch and shoeing day soon.

Wonderful discovery

My family and I are new residents to Bennington and have found our favorite restaurant. Not only does the Grille have ample space for Covid restrictions, it has amazing peaceful views of the golf course and most important the most delicious food. My daughter and I are gluten free so we had the Pesto Salmon. It was so delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their Burger, chicken pot pie and chicken sandwiches. We all highly recommend this restaurant.

Horrible food , nice waitress

We stopped in due to the good reviews. It was late and the place was empty yet still serving dinner. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. My husband’s dinner was one step up from a frozen entree, but wasn’t horrible. My dinner was unpalatable. It was obvious that the meat was left over from earlier in the evening and I could not even cut it with my knife. We paid decent money for this and should have gone to KFC. I didnt complain because I had no other options for dinner that night however, beware. This place may be ok during prime dinner hours, but if you go when the kitchen is about to close, you may end up with whatever they can find.Definitely not worth the amount we were charged. I typically go to restaurants to be served something I cannot or do not feel like making at home and this was something I would never serve.

Great experience

My wife and I ate at The Grill at Mt. Anthony Country Club on January 30th. What a great experience. The quality of the food was spectacular. I had salmon and my wife had fish and chips. Our waitress was great and very friendly. She told us that they've made some changes to the menu recently and the quality definitely shows. We will definitely be back often. This is our hometown and this will be our to go place. Thanks.

Beautiful Evening!

Views from the patio tables are spectacular! Menu has nice diversity. Our meals were very well prepared with good ingredients and presentation. Service was welcoming and attentive. The Mount Anthony Country Club restaurant is a gem in the Bennington region. We will definitely return.

We stopped in on our way home to have lunch. The hostess seated us quickly and we were able to put in our order. I had the steak quesadilla, and my girlfriend had the chicken sandwich. The quesadilla was Ok, I enjoyed it. My girlfriend's chicken sandwich came with sweet potato fries which were good.

Excellent Banquet Experience

My companion and I attended a buffet banquet dinner at the Mount Anthony Club. I had low expectations and was delightfully surprised. The buffet was excellent! The food was well prepared, delicious and nicely presented. The entree temperatures were hot. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The banquet room had a lovely sitting area where people could mingle and talk. The furnishings were a nice addition and made the room less institutional.

Positive Lunch Experience

This meal experience was a business lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our meals were plentiful, well prepared and nicely presented. The noise level was low so conversation was easy.

OUTSTANDING Mother's Day Brunch

Hi, I just wanted to take a minute and let you know how OUTSTANDING Mother's Day Brunch was. Let me explain we were all suppose to be on an Alaskan cruise that day, and last minute it all got postponed. Of course we didn't have any reservations. I live in NY, I just started randomly calling country clubs, I'm glad I found YOU! In the famous words of Anton Ego "OUTSTANDING" from the food, to the service, to the just everything. Our waitress was amazing, the owner/others helped, checked on us, the food was prepared FRESH, served FRESH, just WOW. We had an excellent time, and we're already planning to return for Easter!! I know people take time to write the ugly comments, so I wanted to take time to say WOW just WOW...Great job, Great food, and really helped us turn around a very sad, sad, sad week. Thank You!!!

Relaxing Casual Dining

The weather was still warm enough in September for my wife and me to try eating outside of the golf course here. Our dinner and wine were superb and the service was wonderful. Even when it got a bit cooler as the evening wore on we were provided with another table just inside.
