Very impressed with this little gem in North Bennington. Very comfortable, low noise level, nice and cozy without being pretentious. I started with the Kale salad which was delicious and only $10--extremely reasonable for the quality of ingredients. My husband and I both had the...Diver Scallops and we both loved every bite. Best sorbet I have ever had. Such a wonderful night out. We will be backMore

Dining at Pangaea is a wonderful experience. The restaurant is small with a low noise level that allows for conversation. The meals are exceptional and beautifully presented. The wine list is very good. Pangaea is the best restaurant option in the Bennington/Southern Vermont area. Original...art work on the walls adds to the lovely ambiance.More

A culinary legend in Southern Vermont, hidden away in North Bennington. Consistently the best food in the area for the last two decades.

I live near the Culinary Institute of America and many graduates open restaurants near me. The chief of Pangaea beats them all. The meal was exquisite . From the presentation of the food to the creative combinations, you will be delighted. I had the duck...beast- cooked perfectly- served with risotto. Green tea creme brulee was a first for me and how inventive! The service too could not have been beat- friendly and helpful. PS check out their very unusual and fun cocktail list!More

There are two restaurants at this location, the original restaurant established many years ago is for “Fine Dining” and next door is the “Lounge”. We used to frequent this establishment fairly often but have not been back until recently to try the fine dining section....Reservations are definitely recommended as we saw people turned away without on. We started off with appetizers which were all the same price and quite tasty. One was a salmon dish and the other a coconut shrimp sushi roll which was quite large. This was followed by a spring roll salad included with each entree which also was quite large and tasty. The two Halibut entree’s we ordered unfortunately came out very dry and did disappoint. The service which was excellent by the way, came through and deducted one of the entree’s off the check. This is when a good server saves the meal from being a disaster and keeps the door open for a future revisit. Next time we will try the Lounge to compare.More

My husband and I were in North Bennington and he had never been to the lounge section of the restaurant. We were both so satisfied with our selections. For a Monday night it was wonderful to see the place hopping! The staff was so accommodating...and knowledgeable about menu items. We'll be going back for sure! Excellent portions for the price! Lunch the next day extended our pleasant experience.More

I ate in the pub area and had a delicious steak. It took ten minutes to order a beverage and then ten more to get the beverage. After ordering, we sat for 55 minutes waiting for dinner. While waiting we asked if they gave bread....The waitress said someone had to ask for it and then 15 minutes later we got a fairly tasteless roll and hard, cold butter. She offered a refill soda and 20 minutes later rage waitress asked how are food was. I mentioned no more beverage. She had forgotten and it took another 5-10 minutes to get that. Even though the food was good, I wouldn't return due to very poor service. We had plans to see a movie and missed it due to the slow service.More

We made reservations for fine dining and were seated by the window. The menu has changed a bit since our last visit, but it was still delicious.
