Food is reasonable and pretty good. This is a diner not a fancy restaurant. It takes you back to the 50's with the décor and the menu is on the wall, just about anything you can imagine. They are only open for breakfast and lunch they close by 5P<. Good grub at reasonable prices.

We were told about the diner by a local and decided to give it a try after all it's an experience. Inside there are booths with working jukeboxes and stools at the counter. Menu is extensive and we chose Caesar salad with chicken which we didn't wait long and the food was good. The staff were polite and checked that... More

While the diner could really use a deep cleaning, we enjoyed the food nonetheless. We had classic diner comfort food (hamburger/fries, open face sandwich/gravy) which we thought was really good. But the desserts!! Homemade pumpkin pie, and tapioca pudding for us! We would definitely go back again, but don't forget your cash - seems they don't take cards.

Occasionally a diner will surprise with really good food. NOT this place!! This place did not surprise in any way. In fact, it was below average in everyway. I had spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was angel hair (not spaghetti). The meatballs were way overcooked and meally. They were memorable only because of the spicy after taste. The sauce was... More

I was extremely disappointed by the degree of neglect shown to this place by the owner. I've gone to this diner since 1964. It appears as though all the fame and hype has brought about complacency and neglect. If there are lines out the door, why bother they're tourists, who cares, Wrong. The counters, stools and booths are worn out... More

I've dipped into the Blue Benn alone and with family and friends. It's the kind of place where while waiting for your eggs with black beans and guacamole, one of a couple sitting nearby ask what I am reading and a satisfying conversation takes place before I dig in, eat, pay and leave satisfied on a few levels.

After reading the good reviews here, we thought we'd give it a try for lunch. It was not good though. They claim everything is homemade. I do not believe it - at all. My wife ordered gezpacho. It was horrible. I think it was canned tomatoes with the left over vegs from the last couple of days. Horrible and certainly... More

It's not worth the hype. The waitresses are rude and unfriendly. The booths are too small for large families. The lines are too long (due to the hype - not the food or the service). It's not very clean, either, which to me, is the biggest turn off of all. I won't be back, nor will I be bringing friends... More

It's an old diner. Fun to visit. Fun to explain to your kid about the tableside jukebox. Food is OK.
