This place used to be great! The breakfast is not good at all. I’m not sure what happened maybe a new cook or something but I will not be back until something changes with it.

Just been to this 7-Eleven for gas. Prepaid for $20, gave woman a $50, she gives me back a wad of scuzzy dollar bills. I said surely you have higher denomination bills, to which she rudely snapped, that's all I got. Do you really expect...me to believe that? Will NOT be returning to that store ever again.More

While visiting Vernal we ate at this restaurant twice for dinner. Both times the staff was very friendly, the food was good, it was served quickly and there was a lot of it. We would recommend this place to our friends and family.

Excellent meal for our family of five, with something for everyone. The trout in particular was great. Prices were surprisingly low for the quality and quantity of the food. Would definitely come again.

I waited in line with my 8 year old for 15 minutes to pay for a slurpee and waters. I turned my head for 10 seconds to talk to someone behind me who had a beautiful cat on a leash and they let some Karen...jump ahead. 0/10 do not recommend.More

Vernal's oldest restaurant, and I've eaten here many times, always try to stop when I come to town. Waitress was very attentive, multiple drink refills, efficient service, food portions were generous, and food was good. Then when the check came, it was less than I...expected for six of us. I'll definitely be back again.More

Brake fast for Breakfast. Wow. My daughter said it was the best pancake she has had in a while. The homemade sausage rocked with flavor. The jam with biscuits was cold and yummy with real fruit. No darn plastic mini-tubs. The biscuits were tasty. the...SCONES were amazing. Fried, between light and heavy. Just perfect. So much better than a British Scone. We typically don’t revisit places on vacation, but we are coming back tomorrow.! Only Improvement the food was not piping hot, but darn diggity good.More

Food was ok but service was horrible. Waitress took our order but never saw her again. So disappointed because it looked like it had great atmosphere.

Service was terrible, no water refills, waitresses flirting with guys and not paying attention to tables, other tables seated after us getting their entrees while we had not even gotten a salad. Almost an hour to get our food, And the food is bad, it's...bad it's REALLY REALLY BAD! Shrimp looked like it had been cut in three pieces and double dunked in breading. Chicken was so dry, it was literally a choking hazard, I had to tell my daughter not to eat it. The soup was cold,, the corn was cold, potato was cold and they serve MARGARINE! Don't understand why anyone would eat here. Its terrible,More

Took my wife and granddaughters out for my wife's birthday, couple behind us and several others were served, ate and left and we were still waiting for our food. I wanted to walk out but my wife stopped me, she finally got up and talked...to another waitress and 10 minutes later our food came, almost 2 hours to go to dinner. Good food but don't think we will go back, at least for a while.More

We each ordered a simple breakfast of eggs, scone, hash browns, and a sausage patty. The sausage was the best ever! Everything was tasty, served hot, nice service, fair price. I am not local and just got lucky finding this place. I would surely return.

Went on Saturday night. Waitress busy talking to another waitress while taking order. Chili tasted just like it was Hormel chili from a can. Mom ordered vegetable soup. Was 5 carrots floating in water. My daughter and I ordered garden salads with chili. Salads had...nothing in them but lettuce. Ordered three scones, they never came till we reminded them of the scones and they came at end of meal. Never ate chili, came out of a can, Two scones did come, there was suppose to be three but received two when dinner was over. Never asked how was everything going till it was over and complained. They just said they were sorry. Ask for extra napkins, nothing ever came. No refills of water. Complained again at register and were told, I am sorry. Wanted our 25.00 dollars back but no reply. Will never eat there again. My mom is 86 years old and was the highlight of her week. Never again. Also, saw a cook and waitress wipe their nose with no gloves on and wipe on apron and serve customers.More

Just as I prefer locally owned motels, I also prefer local restaurants. This one has been around since the 1930s. They're doing something right. Super friendly service, really good food, big portions. And great prices. I got the small country fried steak. Coming from Texas...I know a little something about what we call chicken fried steak. This was one of the best I've ever had. Tasty, tender, cooked just right. It came with great mashed potatoes, a small cup of some of the best cream of mushroom soup, a very good small side salad, a scone, a small bowl of mixed vegetables and an iced tea and a coke. All for $11.86. And they have an awesome gift shop totally geared toward dinosaurs. How can you go wrong with that? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!More

This place has been there since I lived in the area 50 years ago (and longer), and I always stop in when I travel through the area. Prompt, friendly service, good food, in a unique, local place. Price was really good for the amount and...quality of food, too.More

I don't think I've ever had food with less flavor. Nothing really tasted bad, it was just beyond bland. Now understand, I'm not a hot and spicy person, but there are a wealth of flavors beyond hot. And none were present. No, I take that...back, the included scone, which we had to ask for by the way, wasn't bad. And unlike everything else from my ribs to soup to the baked potato to my wife's sandwich was lukewarm. My BBQ beef ribs weren't BBQ'd. As far as I could tell they were boiled ribs with some cheap BBQ sauce poured over them. Looked like an enormous portion, but I left hungry because, #1, ribs are mostly bone #2, I knife and fork them which does miss a lot of meat, my bad #3, but mostly because it wasn't worth the effort to get more meat out of them. The baked potato wasn't even really done, it was half done. Now I will say this about them, the people seemed friendly and many things on the menu were very inexpensive. My ribs were $13.99! And included soup, salad, a baked potato, vegetable and a scone. I'm used to more than that for a potato, soup and salad without any entree. Unfortunately I got what I paid for, but no more. One more thing, I know this is Utah, but it's also the 21st century. No beer or wine. Now I could see them being good for breakfast, they might do just fine for scrambled eggs and bacon, though I would expect it to be cold like my dinner.More
