Great Taiwanese food in SLC! Authentic beef noodle soup and dumplings. Wished we could have ate in, but couldn’t because of COVID.

Ordered the chicken lo mein. It was swimming in grease and really bland. And more expensive than other Chinese restaurants.

You wouldn't see it unless you look - and you'd never really know it's Chinese/Taiwanese by the name itself. But I'm glad I was given the recommend to go here and check it out. I was reminded on this last visit that I hadn't commented...on it online. Maybe because I didn't want anyone to know about it. :) Service has always been great (maybe they recognize me and I go alot). The menu has many options that I've had the chance to try and found them very flavorful and with something for everyone to try. There is plenty of seating inside and more than enough parking outside. If you still can't picture where this is - then a good 'landmark' is the gigantic bowling pin on the street - go to it and it's in the lot beneath it :) Food is fantastic because it's flavorful, cooked well and very tasty. I've had too many dishes to name, but a favorite I do get is the Taiwanese noodles, Taiwanese fried chicken and the shrimp pancake. Now, let me be clear: If you are looking for a Panda Express - then this is NOT for you. This is the real deal authentic Chinese/Taiwanese style food - not the crap 'American' style kind. If you are not open to the real deal - go somewhere else and leave the rest of us to eat in peace to enjoy our food. But if you are open - go. You're welcome. :)More

This charming restaurant has a horrid sign that makes you think it is abandoned. The food is exactly what you’d get in your mom’s kitchen, if your mom is a Taiwanese grandma who is a good cook. Very authentic but not as salty as most...food in China. Very yummy. Life-changing green beans; I didn’t like beans until I had these but they are world-class (and seem to be a specialty). Hope they get a new sign soon! They did paint the outside recently and it looks good.More

Mom's Kitchen is a casual dining experience that features authentic Chinese cooking. However, my spouse, who is from the mainland, informed me that the style of cooking there is actually Taiwanese. Nevertheless, we both found the dishes to be exquisite in preparation and delectable in...taste. Their cuisine was a far superior to the typical Chinese buffet-style fare.More

Have been there twice now, and will return. Service was good, but not particularly friendly, but didn't need to be. We didn't have questions about the food, and it may be a help to ask. A LARGE number of items, but most are different than...the usual Asian restaurants. (They do have pictutes!) We had two of the "cabbage" dishes, which seemed strange for an Asian restaurant, but they were really tasty. Ordered one of them as an "appetizer" to share on our second visit, but they served it at the same time as our other dishes. (We never asked for it to come first - but it was again enjoyable.) Our mains were two different "hot pots." Mine had clear rice noodles with some thin pork slices in a chicken-type broth. I really liked the flavor. My son had a pork based "hot pot" with a more spicy broth. He ordered it based on the menu photo, but it was different from that. We shared each other's, but both claimed "ours" was the better. Fewer diners on this second visit (on a holiday Saturday evening.) On our first visit, most of the tables were filled with Asian-appearing patrons. Again, LOTS of different menu items for us "adventuresome" diners (you will need to read the menu to understand what I'm talking about!) All sound interesting - to us. There were several items listed that will sound familiar, but, so far, our uninformed choices have been excellent discoveries. We'll be back!More

Went with a fiend for lunch. Hostess was unfriendly and inattentive. We had to ask 3 times for a fork which was finally given to us by a 6 year old. Waitress never asked us if we liked the food which we did. We had...to walk to another table where she was peeling beans to get our check and again to get take out boxes. She never said goodbye. When I suggested to a Chinese friend that we go, he said he would never go back because the atmosphere was so unfriendly. The food was terrific but this is just not a fun place.More

15 mins drive away from SLC airport, this unassuming restaurant serves authentic home cooked Taiwanese dishes. Fairly cheap and good, excellent break from 2 weeks of western cuisines!

This restaurant was rated rather high on a popular site. I am normally positive in my reviews and I cannot be so in this one. I don't know if it was just that I didn't know what to order or what, but this was not...something I enjoyed at all. From the Hot and Sour soup to each of the 3 different main dishes we ordered, nothing was enjoyable for our group. There were several groups in the restaurant, and it looked liked they were enjoying the experience, but not so for our group. I hope others will try it in spite of this review, because based upon the reviews of others, someone has enjoyed it.More

What a pleasant surprise! Real fried pork dumplings for lunch. Fresh; hot and tasty. The service was good and the beer was cold.
