It was dinner hour on a Thursday night and there were seven of us but being a fairly large place they still managed to seat us with no waiting. The salsa was amazing. The food was good and so long as you don't expect "real" Mexican street food you shouldn"t be disappointed.. It was the typical Americanized Mexican meal. You... More

Often wondered what real Mexican food tastes like. I am not sure La Costa is the place to have that experience. The place is, however, busy at weekends and I wonder why. Perhaps the clientele expects a ton of food and la Costa fulfills that expectation. Clearly I have eaten better Mexican at other locations. Any Mexican joint that served... More

The food at La Costa is average and the portions are a bit small, but the salsa makes it worth going back again and again. For some reason, in the Salt Lake area, Mexican restaurants serve watery tomato paste with jalapeño and call it salsa, but La Costa actually has the onions, spices, and other ingredients that really give their... The food, though Mexican by definition, is so far from Mexican it's almost a joke. Nothing had any real flavor and any of the spices found in Mexican Food.

We had so much fun here on Cinco de Mayo. The place was packed but they had a first class Mariachi Band (I went to school in San Antonio) that kept the atmosphere jumping. No, I don't remember what I had, because we sat at the bar across from the spot where they made the margaritas. I do remember that... More

If you like Mexican seafood you need to try LaCosta. The camaronies fillete can't be beat. The prices are a bit above similar Mexican restaurant, but the food quality is far superior. Give them a try!

We were worried that Friday night would be difficult to get a table in reasonable time. Wanted Mexican....so had heard about LA Costa. Arrive and there is a line, but hostess tells us 25 minutes... not to bad but... do you have a bar? Yes she says so we head there and within minutes meet Martha. Before we can even... More

We have been eating here for many years. It is our go-to for great Mexican food. The salsa is phenomenal and the fajitas are fresh and tasty. If you are interested in seafood the Chimichanga "Jarocha" is excellent, and if you like spicy the Camarones al la Diabla are excellent and authentic. You can't go wrong at La Costa if... More

Great Mexican place... Not as amazing as Red Iguana, but good flavors, portions, and quality. The bean dip and salsa are super addictive and keep coming!
