The view was very nice but our group was not seated on the patio or right against the windows. Everything is quite pricey, from the non-alcoholic drinks to the carrot cake dessert. I had a strip steak ($40) b/c I was not impressed with the...seafood offerings available. The steak itself was not any better than one you would get at Longhorn. My favorite part was the small spinach salad, but that ran $12. When your family of 3 (including a 10 year old child) is handed a bill for $197, you ask yourself if it was worth it? That bill only included two glasses of wine by the way and one dessert. The server appeared to be new and did not have answers to questions about the best-selling dishes.More

We ate here twice during our 5 days in St. George. Great service, great food and great views! We had a window table both times and found the views mesmerizing. It was very relaxing! Highly recommended!

The menu isn’t huge here, but the food was actually really good. I am very picky, but I decided to try the Cajun chicken pasta. The chicken was seasoned well- not too spicy. The cheese sauce was very light. The whole meal came together very...well. The Parmesan French fries were also very good. You definitely need a reservation to get in here. Also, the people seemed to all be wearing nicer clothes, so we felt a little out of place in athletic wear.More

Overall fault goes to terrible management of this restaurant. The ribeye was good, Caesar salad… good. but The Cliff Restaurant ownership and chef should stop there… First, the penne tastes worse than microwave Mac n cheese without any sauce. Also Blackened chicken should be blackened...not boiled. GROSS! Not sure if they ran out of sauce, but If you’re out of something, maybe mention it… Second this is not the 1950’s in America not one restaurant in the United States charges per soda refill… not to mention it’s Pepsi, asked for a diet Dr Pepper and got served Diet Pepsi. That’s a CArdinal sin! Got charged for two diet Pepsis that i didn’t not want/order. Is this your real ordinary charge for refills??? PLEASE CHANGE YOUR REFILL POLICY ON SODA REFILLS. THAT SIMPLE THING (changing your refill policy) of almost free Pepsi syrup WOULD HAVE GOTTEN YOU A BETTER RATING. The rating your STEAK may have DESERVED. UPDATE YOUR MENU and out of date policies, you cannot make pasta or serve Soft drinks.More

The restaurant is aptly named, as it is perched on the side of a cliff overlooking St. George and the mountains in the distance. We sat outside on the deck which was comfy and warm due to the heaters on a chilly night, Our food...was excellent, especially the salmon. Our server was amiable and willing but amateurish. One gripe - we arrived a bit early for our reservation and they made us wait in the vestibule until our reservation time even though plenty of tables were available.More

the ambiance was fantastic, I was the only one of the four of us that ordered a cut of beef. I was very much looking forward to it. I was looking forward to a thick ribeye med rare. When the it arrived, the cut was...less than an inch thick. I cut into it and it was brown all the way through. I knew immediately that it was a sous vide prep, which normally is a very good way to prepare it. but it was not tender, and was on the dry side. I called the server over and apologized for being that guy, but asked her if it looked like a medium rare prep. She said she would get another one for me. It was the same. I guess the lesson learned is even at a high end steakhouse you have to ask how thick the cut is before ordering. The flavor was good but the steak could of been an 12 dish from a diner. Very disappointed. The other entrees ordered with our group of four were all fabulous. But because of this miserly cut, I cannot give Cliffside a good review.More

Hello! Apologies about your steak! The server's should be verbalizing our sous vide processes to each guest; as that does change the color of the steaks. But we are sorry that that particular cut of meat was not our up to our Cliffside standards. We'd...More

My wife and another couple and I had dinner here one night. We made reservations quite a bit in advance and were not sorry we did. Very busy place. The view is very nice, especially once it was dark and the city lights came on....We had a table by the windows which was great, but that is first come first serve. We ordered coconut shrimp and brussels sprouts as appetizers and both dishes were well prepared. I had a spinach salad which was fair but not great. For entree's we had four cheese and pear pasta (very good), chicken fried chicken (very good) and marjorie baked chicken (very good). My wife is not a risotto fan and was able to sub in sides (mashed potatoes) from fried chicken instead for no charge for the marjorie baked chicken. One friend did get the risotto with marjorie baked chicken and it was very good. All in all the entree's were very well prepared and we were able to tweak sides a bit to suit our tastes which was nice. My wife had the lilikoi cheesecake for desert and said it was very tart and quite excellent. The brulee was also very good. Service was very efficient and waitress was very amiable and chatted easily with us. All in all a very nice dinner and we would return here and recommend to others.More

A special lunch with a lovely view from the top of a mesa. Our meals were delicious. I enjoyed every bite of the pasta purses filled with pear and cheese. The salmon tacos were just right spicy and delicious. Our waiter was very good and...even took our picture for us to mark the occasion. Highly recommend for lunch to see the view or go at dusk to see both daylight and nighttime.More

Our food was great, service was good but experience ended with loud music. 5:15 We had early reservations. Music very loud. Asked to turn down waitress did. We ordered and food was brought quickly. All was good, soup was luke warm but very good. Waitress...brought dessert to go and to go bag because we asked. One of us finishing wine and music suddenly up so loud we couldn't talk. So we left. 6:30 All tables full, one couple sitting in wait area as we left. Music turned down as we walked outside. For a medium expensive restaurant I would think they would not make you feel rushed.More

First of all, I'd like to praise our server (I can't remember her name) and all the servers, who were energetic and anxious that everyone have a good experience. Back to our server, not only was she friendly, but she even gave us some good...tips on hiking in Snow Canyon State Park. Wow, that is a full-service restaurant or what! The view of course even from inside is superb, but we need to judge this establishment as a restaurant. We had a group of three. The Brussel Sprouts appetizer were naturally very good. I had a NY strip steak. The cut was good and the item was prepared as I directed, but arrived only lukewarm. It needs to be hot. For dessert, I had the cliffside molten cake. What arrived was good, and had a scoop of ice cream on the side, but perhaps the presentation lacked verve. I had to (sometimes you have to make comparisons) think of the "Cafe at the Peak" in Hong Kong, which has a similar item, which is actually shaped like a mountain, and when you tap into it, the "lava" flows out. Something like that would be super. Dessert and coffee; best if they arrive together. What I'm saying is that a little more attention to detail would make this experience stand out so much more. Our group of three was generally pleased with the meal. I'll be back at the hotel for sure. And by the way, the breakfast brought to your room is a very nice touch. Praise to the staff.More

Hi! My family and I as well as many of our friends are Vegan Gluten-Free. Do you have a vegan menu? In big cities, sooo many restaurants have a vegan menu as well as vegan gluten-free options. We usually drive to Las Vegas since they have SO many vegan restaurants and SO many non-vegan restaurants with a generous vegan gluten free menu ranging from appetizers to desserts. However, since you're in a smaller city we just want to make sure as we were wanting to go eat at your restaurant and we usually check online for reviews and vegan gluten-free options. What vegan gluten-free menu items do you offer...appetizers, main entrees, desserts, etc? As I'm sure you're aware, the plant based/vegan industry is booming BIG time not just in the USA but worldwide. Vegan restaurants are growing substantially. Usually, vegan restaurants or non-vegan restaurants that offer a vegan menu offer such a great variety of "cuisine" not just a salad or a few vegetables. We're very interested to know if you offer a variety of vegan cuisine and what you offer. Are your vegan meals/options a regular part of your menu or is it only by special request? If it's only by special request is it very limited on what you could offer a patron? Thank you!

pepeprmintpat27, Dude, I'm a customer, not the restaurant owner. Been there twice, excellent both times, but I'm not a vegan. Why wouldn't you contact them directly?? Try their website or call them.
