We've been to Cliffside several times in the past. The food was wonderful and the view amazing. So we went for dinner to celebrate my husbands first birthday as Nevada residents. What a disappointment. The view was still there. But all else had changed. Started...with a dirty bread plate. And we were the 1st patrons when the door opened. We overheard specials being told to the people next to us, yet we heard about only 1. Salad was ok. Nothing special. I ordered a ribeye, medium rare..my husband a NY Strip. My $49 ribeye came in a pasta bowl/ plate. Very hard to cut. The meat was overcooked and was piled on top of the brocollini, which i didnt find until I had eaten that meat above it. The fingerling potatoes were a combo of mostly regular potatoes with 1 fingerling mixed in. They looked like they were leftover from the day before and reheated. My husband's steak wasn't as overcooked as mine. It was served on a flat plate. He had the same dead potatoes. We ate most of our food. I don't like to complain. I just will never go back. When we were finished the waitress asked if everything was ok. My huband told her no. She apologized. Told the chef and came back to tell us he apologized and offered a desert on the house. A manager did not come over. The 20 year old waitress shouldn't have been the one to try to make us happy. We declined the desert. Nothing was taken off the check. We paid and left. And will never return or recommend The Cliffside to anyone.More

We've eaten here on different occasions while in town and have enjoyed each time. The food and service are both wonderful. This last time we also stayed at the Inn on the Cliff next door so it was very convenient.

Not only is the food really good, the views are breathtaking. This is a scratch kitchen and the food did not disappoint.

The view was worth it until your food comes, then it just gets better. The trout was fantastic. Great service from a very friendly staff

I had the Salmon and also the Squash Soup and both were wonderful. We even came back the next night and I ordered the exact same things. It still makes my mouth water just thinking about them. And wonderful service and great atmosphere. I loved...this restaurant and highly recommend it.More

I will start off with the beautiful view of the city and the mountains, it is wonderful. It could be worth the trip but I would not return. The coconut shrimp appetizer was good . The seafood entrees and pasta dishes were unmemorable and bland....The staff was inattentive, our wine showed up halfway through the meal and our appetizer plates stayed on the table all night, we had to ask for silverware.More

Our dinner experience left a lot to be desired. The view was the best part of the experience. The calamari was dry and tasteless. My poorly trimmed NY strip steak was almost cold long with all the unnecessary stuff piled on it and the soggy...cold fries. Our server took it back to be refired but it did not help. The chicken was just ok and at least was hot when served. The wine was actually warm and the weak attempt to cool it off by the server was inept. She even brought out glasses of ice so we could pour our wine in them. Who does that? We chose this restaurant based on reviews so will go with an “off night” as it appears many people have had a better experience.More

Beautiful view of St George and the food and service was excellent. So nice to be able to walk from our room right to dinner too.

We recently stayed here for a 6 night stay. The room was nice and the views were excellent. Very comfortable bed! A nice breakfast was delivered upon request each morning. We were very impressed with the friendly and helpful customer service from the minute we...arrived. They were very accommodating whenever we had a request. If I had to make any comments for the owners from an extended- stay - customer practical standpoint (more than just one night) , it would be (1) instead of a huge artificial plant taking up a full corner of the room, (and frankly being in the way) - replace it with a dresser of some sort. We missed having a place to unpack and store our clothing. There are 2 drawers located under the closet area but one is full of extra bedding. (2) We appreciated the small fridge but really missed having a microwave in our room. Overall, I would recommend this place and would stay again!More

Betty, I think you intended your question for the restaurant itself, and not me. If they are, it will probably be great!!!

Hi! My family and I as well as many of our friends are Vegan Gluten-Free. Do you have a vegan menu? In big cities, sooo many restaurants have a vegan menu as well as vegan gluten-free options. We usually drive to Las Vegas since they have SO many vegan restaurants and SO many non-vegan restaurants with a generous vegan gluten free menu ranging from appetizers to desserts. However, since you're in a smaller city we just want to make sure as we were wanting to go eat at your restaurant and we usually check online for reviews and vegan gluten-free options. What vegan gluten-free menu items do you offer...appetizers, main entrees, desserts, etc? As I'm sure you're aware, the plant based/vegan industry is booming BIG time not just in the USA but worldwide. Vegan restaurants are growing substantially. Usually, vegan restaurants or non-vegan restaurants that offer a vegan menu offer such a great variety of "cuisine" not just a salad or a few vegetables. We're very interested to know if you offer a variety of vegan cuisine and what you offer. Are your vegan meals/options a regular part of your menu or is it only by special request? If it's only by special request is it very limited on what you could offer a patron? Thank you!

pepeprmintpat27, Dude, I'm a customer, not the restaurant owner. Been there twice, excellent both times, but I'm not a vegan. Why wouldn't you contact them directly?? Try their website or call them.
