We were tired from traveling all day and just wanted a restaurant convenient to our hotel, inexpensive and with family style food. Checking Tripadvisor, I found a Black Bear diner nearby. I had never been to one and had heard a lot of good things about this chain restaurant. It was packed! We almost didn't stay, thinking the wait would... More

..., and lots of it. Often crowded and sometimes noisy but you will never leave hungry. This small western chain has developed a devoted following wherever they put in a new restaurant.

I love to go to this restaurant because there are bears everywhere! They're climbing the posts and swinging from swings. They have huge meals and it's all comfort food! The service is great and the food is fantastic!

Fabulous experience - visited twice in one week - huge portions - can feed 2 people - great location - just off I-15 - lots of parking - excellent staff - very efficient - only negative is rest rooms need to be enlarged and renovated but Black Bear is not the original occupant

Absolutely love the food here. We go after climbing in the red rocks, so we are always hungry. The service is exceptional!

The food was good and the portions are enormous!!! We got sealed right away and the wait time for our food wasn't long at all. I liked our server but she was a little short...not interested in sharing her favorite dishes or express in more detail about dishes. Overall good though!

I had the cinnamon French toast... It was a cinnamon roll dipped in French toast battery and cooked...I cried. One thing that wasn't so impressive was the pie tasted no different than one of those cheap ones you get at the store, so don't waste your time with that.

I am not a pancake lover, but they were scrumptious at this diner. The server told us that the pancakes taste wonderful because they are made with sweet cream instead of milk. The sausage and bacon are also good. I liked the newspaper menu with news from decades back in the outside pages and the breakfast/lunch/dinner selections on the inside.... More

Have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This time we stopped for an early dinner. Feeling adventurous, I tried a new blazing bear sandwich. I loved it. My favorites include the cinnamon roll french toast. I love that they serve breakfast, lunch, or dinner all the time.

Thank sheryl t
