Loved it! This place is new for us and has a unique taste that was different than other Mexican style restaurants. Loved the pupusas. I like saucey and cheese and that definitely defines their dishes. Excited to add this place to the lunch rotation.

This place has nice, fresh, inexpensive Pupusas. Not much on ambiance, but definitely authentic Latin American fast food/cafeteria feel.

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but we were very disappointed with this place. We thought it had to be good because it was sooooo busy, and obviously a lot of locals go there... But it took forever to get our food (2 people, ordering a main dish each & water to drink... that was it), the dishes were... More

We came for the pupusas! They were freshly made, and great. Service was leisurely, but that wasn't unexpected for how busy it was.

Like everyone else, it's all about the pupusas. Everything else on the menu you can find at a Mexican joint. But the pupusas. Heaven will taste like a freshly cooked pupusa from El Mexsal. They have a little crunchiness on the outside with the tasty center. I'm getting hungry thinking about it. The best part is that the pupusas are... More

I have to say first, that this is one of my first reviews for a restaurant ever...but this needed to be said... What can I say?! Authentic? Yes, and if not, as close as I can remember to my time in central america - it is. Do they have the generic Mexican food in addition to El Salvadoran on the... More

Wonderful Mexican and Salvadorian food in a fund little out of the way place. Good food, freshly prepared and economical.

I once lived a few blocks from this place and always enjoyed the food from here. It's still delicious and filling. After a long night, my boyfriend and decided to stop here for brunch for old times sake. The salsa is still yummy and I finally got around to ordering a pupusa, which is one of the best hangover foods... More

We read reviews and were looking for Mexican. Decided to give this a try. Very authentic and good food. Loved their enchiladas and the rice was fabulous. Rice had good flavor and was still moist. Tried the pupusa and they are worth trying. Fun and authentic. Would go back :)

I went to the El Mexsal with a couple of friends on their recommendation and we LOVED it! Two Must Haves when I get to go again ... 1. The pupusas. Get one with meat inside and put the pickled slaw type salad on it as you eat. They are the best! Get one between two of you or you'll... More
