We had lunch there and it was wonderful and cozy. I had the tomato curry coconut soup and my husband had the roasted chicken sandwich. Both super yummy. I nice change from the other mountain dining options. They have a full bar and chairs outside to have a drink and enjoy the views. Highly recommend.

This is not just a dinner but an experience. It all starts with the ride up the mountain on the sleigh. We rode on the outside seats not the heated cab. They provide you with blankets to keep warm but follow the suggestions sent to you via email carefully! Once you arrive at the top you are greeted warmly, take... More

The yurt has character and is a nice change from the crowded fight for a table of the other mountain restaurants. For lunch, they offer avery smile menu, that is good if you like sandwiches, however tricky for handling food intolerance. I love the fact that it is table service rather than canteen style, however I was a little disappointed... More

Dinner on top of a mountain sounds amazing but when you add in the sleigh ride to the summit, the fairy-light illuminated yurt, and the wonderful Norwegian-influenced food, you have a very very special event, one that you'll never forget. The menu is clearly described on the web site and is as delicious as promised. The various charming stories and... More

Took refuge in this wonderful place while skiing during white out blizzard; small 8-10 table room heated by a great old wood stove; one very friendly waitress who served us the delicious tomato curry soup and the prosciutto and St. Andre cheese baguette and grilled cheese sandwich. The menu is simple but I imagine everything else on it is equally... More

We had been skiing in Park City for three days, and had passed the Viking Yurt many times before we decided to try the restaurant and realized where it was. Charming atmosphere with shared tables, sandwiches made with imported ingredients and pleasant wait staff. The drinks were kept cold with snow in tubs! Everything is brought up the mountain on... Loved the sleigh ride up the mountain and our hostess was so cute. Her 95 year old mother helped tuck us into the sleigh so we weren't cold. The yurt is a special place and the atmosphere perfect for this meal. We met new friends and enjoy several courses. The wine and glogg was fabulous The pianist has been working... More

We have a season pass for Park City and ALWAYS have lunch at the yurt. Compared to other places to eat on the mountain, the yurt is great value and the food for lunch is great. They also have a dinner, which we really wanted to try, and was really excited to finally book it. At $130 plus tax and... More

The grilled cheese were excellent. The service was very good. I would stop there every day and try something different on the menu.

Instead of overcrowded seating, awful tasting and overpriced food at Park City resorts restaurants, the Viking Yurt (on mountain about half way down Home Run) has reasonable prices, good tasting food and drink and table service! Tables are comfortable, the Yurt is a neat environment and there is excellent outdoor seating too. Highly recommended.
