We did the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings for our dinner at Mariposa and were very satisfied. It was $50 for the food (pp) and an additional $50 pp for the wine pairings. The quantity of food was great for us and it had...More

Mariposa fancies itself a fine dining experience, but sadly fails short in both service, food raw ingredient quality, and chef skills. Worse, management doesn't seem to care. While I don't expect Restaurant Joël Robuchon quality, I at least expect Restaurant Michael Mina service level. We...More

We had heard great things about this restaurant so we were excited to try it. We found the food to be very good but the service was poor. I asked for a refill on my drink when the meal was served and never did get...More

We really enjoyed our two dinners at Mariposa. It was the highest level dining (in terms of preparation/techniques. and professional service) we found. For starters, we had the lobster chowder, and the tomato tart with burrata. The second night we started with some NW Pacific...More

This was the 4th time we visited Mariposa during a ski trip. It is still a unique experience with wonderful ambiance and a great wine list. We thought that the dishes were a little larger and not quite as good as prior visits. Service was...More

We are sure to make a reservation at Mariposa every ski trip to Deer Valley. While strangely for a fine dining experience tucked away in a ski lodge Mariposa is a dining experience. The entry is warm, however, they could pick up the warmth of...More

Came on business, many of us had the 5 part tasting menu. Lovely staff. My favorites were the mushroom tart and bass dishes plus terrific icecreams.

A lovely, quiet setting with very interesting and creative food preparations. The waitress/somelier/hostess was very knowledgeable about the food and very enthusiastic.

This used to be a fantastic restaurant, but there is a new chef and a new menu, which has been cut in half at best. We were told that they had some of the same items as previously, like the Beggar's Purse, which we always...More

I was there early Tuesday. The restaurant was totally full of happy diners. Our dinner was unrushed and lasted a happy 3 hours! That is why reservations are always the smart thing to do. The special 37th Anniversary tasting menu was probably the big draw....More
