I visited last evening on my own. I almost cancelled my reservation as my husband was unable to join me and am so pleased that I didn't. I was seated at a lovely table by the window and was offered a newspaper as I was solo. Very thoughtful! The service from the hostess to each server (particularly wonderful service from... More

The service was friendly, the meal impeccable. We've been to this restaurant several times during their high seasons -- never during the slow times. I am somewhat shocked to say the kitchen lived up to its' well-deserved reputation. Our server was a little new to the scene, but managed to be enchantingly so. If you only have a few evenings... We are leary of Buffets...... Too often the presentation looks beautiful, but the actual taste is lacking, flat. Kind of like Cruise ship food. This buffet was different. Along with exquisite presentation and atmosphere, EVERY BITE of food was an explosion of flavor of the highest quality cuisine! We were stunned and delighted. Along with the extraordinary food, the setting... More

If I could give the food a 5, and give the overall experience at the restaurant a 3.5, I would. We were a party of 4 and were seated almost immediately. First the table was the worst in the restaurant, unfortunate for us as there were many open tables. We should have spoken up, but in an establishment like this,... More

A lovely restaurant with authentic Norwegian decor. I had the bacon and potato pancake (basically hash browns with bacon) and my husband had the crabcakes. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. It was off season so it was not crowded. There was some sort of conference at the hotel but we never experienced any waits. The lounge has tables only,... More

What a great experience. A must visit when in Deer Valley. Staff's attention to detail and service was above and beyond. The food (chef's specials especially) were perfection, and the view - in our case just as the trees' color change was emerging - just amazing.

We went to have lunch at the restaurant, and were told it would be a 20 minute wait, which was not a problem. We asked if we could go to the bar for a beer while we waited. The staff person said that they were understaffed and that there was no bar service. She was asked the same question by... More

During our stay at Stein Erickson, we ate here 3 times. The meatball appetizer is out of this world! Lots of wonderful gravy over mashed potatoes! We also tried the pot roast! Perfectly cooked and delicious! Because of Utah law, there is no bar at the entire resort and if you order a drink, you must order food. They bring... More

Spent a week in Park City and reserved a table here for our last night in town as a "farewell treat". Used Open Table and our only choices for Friday night were 6:15 or 8:30PM. Chose 6:15 and had wonderful table just inside the open doors to the deck, with a beautiful view of the mountain. However, we were the... More

We ate breakfast here five mornings and the breakfast buffets and dinner and appetizers provided as part of our meeting were great but our two breakfasts on our own were outstanding. The Norwegian potato and bacon pancake with poached egg and jarlsberg cheese sauce and cramberries was decadently delicious and could easily be shared. The toast was delicious, too. The... More
