I took a cooking class with Jean-Georges Vongerichten (the initials in J&G) in 1987. He was an up an coming chef, full of bold ideas and new techniques. We later connected at JoJo when he asked my wife and I to taste test a dish he was planning to put on the menu. Later, when he opened Jean-Georges in NY,... More

I ate in the bar since I was alone. They did overlook me for the special Astor champagne popping., but the waitress was friendly. I had one mixed drink that was full of ice, and maybe one ounce of liquid. The food was fair and not very imaginative. The view is good but not really worth the cost. Other restaurants... More

This restaurant has great ambiance, and the staff are a 5 out of 5 for service. The preparation of the full pork chop entree (I didn't try the "simply grilled" version) was delicious and the grilled asparagus was very tasty. I tried the 7452 Mary (Bloody Mary made with Vodka 7000 and topped with wasabi-celery foam) at the suggestion of... More

A gorgeous location and fantastic views. Fun to arrive in a funicular. Food disappointing. For the money, not worth it! Greeting upon arrival wonderful. No black napkins offered for black pants! My chicken and vegetables ways too salty. My husbands halibut($41) was undercooked, he had asked for it to be cooked thru. And it was salty. Desserts very good. Perhaps... More

My husband and I were the first to arrive in our group and were initially seated inside at our reserved table. Our friend who made the reservation arrived shortly after us and found out that there was room outside, so we were able to move. (Supposedly you can't reserve tables outside.) I'm not sure if this is always the case,... More

We enjoyed a magical outdoor summer dining experience at the J&G Grill last evening. The St.Regis facilitates an exceptional experience from the moment you step into the funicular which provides 180 degree views of spectacular mountain scenery as it whisks you up to an incredible dining experience. The ambience alone is priceless, with the wraparound patio situated high on the... More

Drove over from the marriott mountainside resort for breakfast- well worth it. Beautiful views and ambience; short rib hash / eggs / kids items were all well prepared and very tasty. Great service to boot!

This place was incredible! Views were amazing and food was unbeatable. Plan on spending a lot but it's super worth it. If it's summer get on the outdoor deck area. We both had their buffalo steak special and it was just incredible.

We like to go for lunch at the J&G Grill. The Cheeseburger is to die for. The specialty Bloody Mary is fantastic. Kim M is a great server/waitress. The service is spot on. The views are beautiful and during the ski season it was fantastic to watch the skiers with talent. And when it comes to a dessert order the... More

My friends and I went to have lunch at st Regis. We were hoping to sit outside. We were told an abrupt 'no', we had to sit inside! Ok..... We sat at a table with a good view. The service is just ok, the food is the same, just ok. It all sounds amazing- on the menu. Just doesn't quite... More
