Very different Mexican Restaurant experience than I am used to but it is some of the best Mexican Food I have ever had. They have a regular restaurant, a separate bar area, and their own Mexican Bakery. We had their tamales and chili verde. Their tamales had the most meat I have ever seen in a tamale. They were very... More

What a fun place to go in Midway. The salsa bar is my favorite! I really like their lunch menu, specifically their passion fruit salad dressing. So tasty! We have gone as a family and I have also been there with friends. What a cool place to hang out!

Hi! Thank you for coming to Tarahumara in Midway! Some of the favorites are the Chicken Papaya Quesadilla and the Asada Sandwiches. We hope you'll come back in and try them or many of the other tasty menu items! All the best, Andrew & Robin (new owners since 8/8/16) More

We've gone to Tarahumara for years. Originally, you stood at the counter, ordered from a chalk board menu, then sat down while they cooked and served your food. It was great food and always crowded. Then, they changed it, raised prices, hired servers and orders were made from a traditional menu. We went once and then decided not to return.... More

Hi! We really appreciate you coming into the restaurant. We are sorry your experience was not perfect, but we want to make it up to you. We have only owned the restaurant for 1.5 weeks and we know there are a lot of things we can improve. Although we want to rush the improvements along, we realize that we have... More

We were impressed by the quality of the food and the service. My husband and I could only eat about half of our lunches, so took the rest home for dinner. I had a great house margarita.

With the new ownership taking over several months now, it's been a slow process to get things back on track from the last owners. The service is genuine, the salsa bar is the best in town for sure. You would think we could get regular china plates though? Plastic plates are so cheap & takes away from the work of... More

Tarahumara was recommended for lunch by some locals on our last visit to Heber Valley. Supposedly the best Mexican restaurant in the valley. Being a family group we ate in the restaurant half instead of the Cantina. No beer, sad day. The salsa bar was impressive. The food was ok. Good portions , flavor was ok. Nothing impressive. Medium price,... More

We stayed in Midway for 3 1/2 days, and this was the best meal we had. The chips and salsa bar alone were amazing. I ordered the carne asada tacos and my husband ordered the carne asada torta and a horchata. The dishes were superb and the horchata delicious. I only have two minor complaints. The staff wasn't overly friendly... More

We had just rafted the Provo and were hungry. Searched in Trip Advisor and decided to try this place. It was a really nice surprise. You pay upfront, but dinner is served at table. I have not seen a salsa bar as big as this one outside of Mexico City (arbol, ancho, jalapeño, chiles, etc). You must try the carnitas... More

Great food and great service. The Salsa bar is amazing! We were very impressed with the food, and the manager/owner was very engaged with the customers. Loved this!

Tarahumara Restaurant is an authentic Mexican restaurant that serves fresh food daily. We provide outdoor (seasonal) or indoor seating for our restaurant, cantina and bakery.

Our restaurant has counter service in our restaurant and bakery, and a full wait staff in our Cantina.

Face painting is free for children every Tuesday, and kids are always welcome to draw and have fun! We put lots of crayons on every table in authentic Mexican food cans for the children to use (Please don't confuse these cans for food! They are only decorations that we purchased as a creative way to hold the crayons. Someone actually accused us that they weren't decorations, but we like them and so do our regulars so we're keeping them!).

Our adults-only Cantina offers a full bar as well as a full-menu. We also offer live music in our Cantina, Friday through Sunday.

Come see us for great food, fun, and maybe even a little dancing ;)
