We have gone to many Indian Restaurants in Salt Lake but none satisfies like Taste of India in Layton. It is a very clean restaurant snd a welcoming Ambviance. The water of all things tastes wonderful!!!! I have never been disappointed with any choice I have made for dinner or lunch. My personal favorites are chicken Tiki-Masala and Chicken Korma.... More

Went there for a friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised. It was during the week and they had a daily special, this one included a little mango ice cream, so that tipped the scales. Great authentic Indian spices/flavors, and the Indian Tea was great too. I'd say worth a try, especially if you can make it during the week.

We were not impressed with our meal even though we tried a variety of dishes. The fruit lassis appealed to the kids, which is the best thing I have to say about them. Naan, regular plus the garlic and cheese versions were rather smaller than expected and a bit too soggy. Aloo Parantha was spiced nicely but had hardly any... More

I wrote a previous review and have been back to the restaurant 3 times since. They have really made an effort to get good servers and it shows. The food is superb as ever! Have not been disappointed on any dish - saag paneer my personal favorite! They have definitely moved up to a 5 star review!

Okay, I know I might be a bit harsh on this Restaurant *** But honestly it was not for us. I ordered the chicken dish (mild) just to be safe and it was not to my liking. My husband had God knows what with sauce and rice. We both picked through our plates and didn't eat much. The service was... More

The lunch time is the best time to go to Taste of India because you then can get to try the lunch patter which is only $9.99 and you get to sample everything that is yummy that the restaurant has to offer. The lunch patters change everyday so the options are always different. The patter is very filling and you... More

So 2 of us had to force the 3rd to go to this India restaurant. He just doesn't like anything but American meat and potatoes. We finally shamed him into going and he was very impressed. We ordered way too much food but everything was good. Service was fine and we enjoyed it. I would recommend it. Solid 4 rating.

A little back story. Before I first ate at Taste of India a couple of years ago I had never eaten "official" Indian food before. I had tried some at a friends house before. It was a chicken curry his wife had made. I ate it but wasn't in love with it by any means. So a couple of years... More

The food is really good. The servers look like they came from the local homeless shelter and the owner talks down to them. They are nice but you end up feeling sorry for your server instead of enjoying your meal.

Great little place, yes it's more expensive them some other Indian restaurants but that's like saying Target is more expensive then Wall Mart....worth it. The Chicken Tikka Masala was great and I will be coming back.
