We did drive in on last night the restaurant was open until March, food was good. They said they would call in about 25 minutes for pickup, no call, so we headed over anyway. They called as we were pulling in, food was good, but...luke warm, so could have been warmer. Would try again though as food was good.More

Back to Kanab and where is the first place we go? That’s right....Rocking V Cafe. Such a great place. Awesome food. Great service (thank you Este). And a wonderful vibe. I had the “Kanab-a-Daba-doo” burger. I swear when I bit into it that a party...started in my mouth—-delicioso! And then dessert, holy cow...warm bread pudding with Whiskey sauce. Donna had the Dark Chocolate Mousse. Both were superlative. And to top it off we had a marvelous conversation with Victor (owner and all around good dude.More

Look , I was debating whether leaving a review about my experience because while talking to the owner(which he is a decent nice person) I really understand what it feels like to find decent employees in a small town like Kanab. Unfortunately I just opened...my cc account and saw the charge.. and that gave me the courage to write: Let me give you a little background... I know food, I know service , before covid I was employed in the hotel/ restaurant industry for about... 30 years after completing the culinary institue of Rome(IPAS).. said that, I always always put my self in the servers' shoes and give the benefit of the doubt . This is restaurant in a small town and the first "feeling" you get once I step into it is that you are gonna be enjoying every second.. the ambiance if a 5 plus with beautiful décor and artwork.. but remember you are there to eat not to be in a museum... once seated , we greeted by a nice person... that took our drink order (2 spectacular local beers) and disappeared (jokingly I told my wife she got the tickets for the wave and you know you drop everything to go...) in the mean time we tour the menu.. a long tour.. and flag the server to ask what is the soup of the day.. which happens to be my favorite favorite favorite..corn chowder..so that was an easy choice so I ask her to bring a cup and made our main course choice, now remember..I know my stuff and I never ever returned anything because everyone has a style that you may or may no like it. but this (can't call it soup) reminds you something you would get in a war zone tasteless, watery corn wasraw(frozen raw) no potato no vegetables (no salt).. I happened to see the owner and I explained that this whatever was it was edible(always in a respectful way of course) and to kindly asked to go and try it since it could be me! he came back and told me it was tastless but thought it was cooked.. again I don't return. SO far no beers in sight. with the soup you get "focaccia".. calling it that is a crime to humanity, it has the consistency and shape of banana bread.. without ingredients.. tasteless breadless plain horrendous closer to a bubble gum than bread!(no beer in sight)At this point it was more like a comedy then a romantic dinner.. no beer yet.. no food yet...and so the waiting game starts... and wait and wait and wait...i m able to cross eye with the server so Inquire about our drinks... and that moment i realized she forgot to put the order in the computer(i know that face).. she come back for the UT great beers.(polygamy porter and EVO amber) but no food(it just made it to the kitchen...) and wait and wait and wait finally I get my burger and my wife gets her salad this chicken on top... mind you..this is a small restaurant but can't be too small to have fries.. my burger was server with either mash potato, potato salad, small salad or rice.. burger goes with fries like pizza goes with beer.. you can have alternatives but the main ingredient has to be there.. I chose rice... after about 45 minutes we got our food.. my burger was a nice combination of ingredient(peppers avocado, special sauce..) very well combined together but the meat had no salt.. food with no sold is like sex without your partner.. it can be done but it isn't the same!!! and rice..the rice wasthe rice you getright out of the cooker.. no salt(the chef must have hi pressure ad can't use salt for himself) no seAsonIng no sauce.. plain overcooked rice.. the Nice owner asked me and I really didn't want to say anything( feel for the guy) but my wife told him about it.. and he decided to comp desert after our meal.. the sever was too busy with that 2 3 tables(doe to covid the restaurant has only a few tables.)and never ever came to check on us...my wife salad was.. a salad.. if you expect a James Beard award ...it ain't... anyway you feel sorry for the guy but you get a bill so at this point it really bothers you...More

Restaurant was wonderful, service was awesome, food was so-so. I should have ordered something simple. Their tomato basil soup was delicious!

My husband and I were in Kanab over Thanksgiving and came across this charming restaurant. The staff provided great service and the owner is very hands on (checking in on customers, delivering food, etc). They even offered a blanket to our dog who isn’t use...to the colder weather (we live in California). Food was delicious and the portions were generous! We had two wonderful dinners within 3 days at the Rocking V Cafe! Would highly recommend!More

Our first night of dining at this restaurant was picture perfect. The food, service, observance of COVID protocols were all fantastic. We all had different cocktails and food - everything was delicious. So much so, that we went back. Second time the service was really,...really slow and the kitchen lost our order. These things happen at even the best restaurants. When the problem was brought to the owner's attention, he comped our cocktails and salads; the waitperson refused a tip. Class Act. Mistakes happen, and the establishment stepped up to make it right. I will go back.More

My husband and I love this restaurant! We go to Kanab 1-2 times a year and can't wait to get back to the Rocking V each time. We got to know the owner, Victor, this last trip.....great guy! My husband talks about the Bison filet...all year until we can get back there. Highly recommend!More

We ate here two of the three nights we were in Kanab and the only reason we didn't eat there a third was because they were booked that night. Amazing service (shout out to our waitress Nichol for being so great). Victor, the owner, really...made the experience feel so personable and the food was AMAZING! Get the lasagna and key lime pie for sure! I also really appreciated their Covid procedures in place. We felt very safe.More

We ate outside and enjoyed the fun service and good food. Wine by the bottle was reasonably priced, and COVID precautions were in place. Reservations recommended
