All reviews pizza latkes salad pot stickers carrot cake mac cheese chicken alfredo fries vegetarian restaurant delicious vegan meat eaters outdoor seating food was fantastic vegetarian options wait staff after a long day
If you are looking for a vegan/vegetarian option this is a great option for you. The garden salad has a delicious blood orange vinaigrette, the margarita pizza is light and fresh, they offer beyond burgers and other meat alternatives. My husband was disappointed that they...didn’t offer any meat options. A little pricey for vegetarian offerings.More
This spot, as all restaurants in Kanab, was way in over their heads tonight. The first time we stopped we were told 1-1/2 hr wait and they are vegetarian. Vegetarian was not displayed on the menu. After calling 20 min. Later the wait time went...down- we decided to try it because we were that hungry- figuring we could find something. They were so swamped and overwhelmed with take out and dining orders. Our waitress was not in any rush, when asked about dairy in an item due to a severe allergy, she wasn't sure and I had to clarify milk AND butter products. We ordered, according to what was written in the menu. We added green chilies to the Mac and Cheese... it came with onions (NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE), another person in our party had a severe reaction (emergency room consideration)
It was clear the town itself was under prepared, all restaurants were overflowing, this was a disappointment and life threatening situation.
Not worth the $84 for 4 people.More
First let’s start with the waitstaff and owner/manager. Only a few people dining, mostly young couples with young children and the employees were disorganized and frantic. Manager took our name for a waitlist. A while later she started seating people coming in and forgot she...had a waitlist. ??? Once seated, after we finally had a waitress, my husband ordered a beer. A while later, the frantic manager/owner came over and told my husband she had to card him. He is almost 60 with a head of gray hair. It was silly and embarrassing. She blamed our waitress. It made no sense. The couple next to us, same ages, were not carded. Just bring the beer already, right? For food we order the Caesar Salad($14) and the Italian “sausage” pizza. The salad arrived as a big bowl of lettuce with onions and a small side of thick dressing. Apparently, they do not toss the dressing with any of their salads. We ate as much of the dry lettuce as we could since the think dressing would not mix in. We had high hopes for the pizza, but it was dry, no pizza sauce and the “cheese” was very fake tasting and chewy. The pizza had no flavor. Crust was burnt and just too dry to chew. What I found most disturbing about this place was the hectic frenzy all the employees seemed to be in, with just a couple of tables full.More
On our way from Bryce Canyon to Page AZ, we wanted to stop to eat lunch. Many of the places we passed were just not going to be acceptable to foodies like us. We don't care if it is simple, just want good tasty food....We somehow found this cafe in Kanab by chance.
We had a wonderful vegetarian lunch (please note the midwest is all about meat so finding a place like this was a treat). We were well past the lunch hour when we arrived as we kept passing small towns along the way, would look around and just not feel like eating in some of those restaurants.
There was a tent outside and we were 1 of 2 couples eating then. Service was very good and food was delicious. Well worth waiting for lunch until 2:45 pm!More
Ate here once using their online ordering and everything was good. Sandwich was very tasty. We decided to try an in person visit. I attempted to make a reservation and was told "we don't take reservations for more than 8 people". I responded we only...had two in our party and was told again about the 8 person limit. Very confused unless there was some other information that wasn't being conveyed. Perhaps they had already reached their 8 person limit but that would have easy enough to say. Decided to try a different restaurant altogether.More
Nice to find delicious vegan / vegetarian options on the road! Very clean, accommodating and friendly staff, and warm outdoor seating even in the winter. But carnivores, don’t be weary, my carnivorous partner equally enjoyed!
We tried the Caesar salad (crunchy and fresh), Hot Mess...Pizza (we chose mild spice which was just right for us), and the White Pocket (nice non-overwhelming balance of homemade Alfredo sauce). Saved half for our lunch on the hikes the next day, and both held up well! Would come back to try the Peekaboo Pear one since places like CPK stopped offering pear pizza and they’re hard to come by (even in NY, pizza haven!).
Wish we had room for the dessert - the vegan carrot cheesecake looked intriguing and delicious!More
My husband and I visited Kanab for a valentines weekend getaway as it is close proximity to many of the national parks. It was a rainy day so we opted to wrap up early and enjoy some pizza and selected Pick-a-boo as our late lunch...spot. We arrived at 2:30 and was rudely met by the hbic telling us they are closed until 4. We were very confused as their hours did not reflect this and people were sitting at tables everywhere with more then half a beer. We left and came back at 4 and were then allowed to be served. We chose inside dining as it was rather chilly outside. It didn't take long for us to regret our decision as we had to listen to the same lady be rude to every customer that came in or called in an order. She was also slamming plates and barking at staff. This made for a very uncomfortable eating atmosphere. I would opt for Wendy's or a sandwich at a scenic setting over their food and environment anytime, even on a rainy day.More

We now have a gluten free pizza crust and most salads are gluten free. We take a lot of concern with Gluten Free in regard to celiacs, which is why cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination. We make as much as we can from scratch, however we order in the Gluten Free dough so that it has fewer opportunities for cross-contamination. While our wait staff is educated on the matter, it is always best to stress to your server your specific needs so they can work with the cooks to avoid gluten ending up on something in your meal.
Again, we take this very seriously and cannot entirely guarantee to someone with celiacs disease that there will be no cross contamination; but we certainly try our hardest!
