My wife and I went to Layla for our anniversay dinner. We had heard good things, and both of us are big fans of Lebanese food, so we went with high expectations. The fact that they weren't quite met may say more about our expectations than about the restaurant. For appetizers, we had the falafel and the hummus. Both were... More

My mom and I chose this place because of the amazing reviews. Great atmosphere, attentive staff but the food was not good. We got the chicken curry and moussaka, both very bland on a huge bed of what tasted like rice-a-roni without the seasoning packet. The stuffed grape leaf appetizer was also under-seasoned with mushy over cooked rice. So wanted... More

The parking isn't the best but that's the only thing I can knock about this place. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing and the employees are friendly and welcoming. We asked for a table outside and it was perfect. I had the lamb kabob plate which was amazing. I haven't tried much Med food other than your typical casual Greek... More

Great food and nice atmosphere. We were a bit underdressed as we had just come off the slopes but were welcomed with good service. The chicken shawarma wrap and the fire roasted pepper hummus was delicious.

Layla offers a good take on Mediterranean cuisine. Flavorful, generous portions, and well priced. Service is attentive. If you are so-inclined, bar and wine service is available but limited...and my single complaint from my most recent visit was the horrible version of a classic cocktail (Old Fashioned). But the Lamb Shank is a dependable favorite. Slowly cooked, melt in your... More

Warm reception, warm service with just the right amount of attention. I had lamb shank, very flavorful. I also sampled my wife's curry and it was very good. We also had a couple of the warm appetizers which were fresh and well prepared. No complaints at all.

When Rouf Tadros and his wife Layla ran the restaurant, it was our favorite. A combination of Mediterranean and American. It was very quiet, so a great place to enjoy a leisurely meal and conversation. Now their son manages the place. The food is still excellent, but the milieu has changed. The music is louder, the seats are less comfortable,... More

Good selection of Mediterranean dishes. I had the veal shank. Well prepared and very tender. Tables for two were a bit small but booths were large. Wish we had one. Not much for ambiance but good food.

This little gem is tucked into a semi-residential area in Salt Lake City. The food is wonderful - mom works in the kitchen making most of it by hand. The service is professional and very friendly. And, the wine list is terrific, featuring many Lebanese wines at fair prices. If you like wine and have never had Lebanese wines, you're... More

Great food and drinks that are authentic and taste just like it was homemade! Had the salmon which was delicious and a few appetizers. The stuffed wrapped green leaves were delicious!
