Ray's Tavern is exactly what you'd expect -- a beer joint with burgers, steaks, etc. The meal we had was well-prepared and plentiful, but oddly devoid of flavor. Maybe it was a lack of the heavy salt so many restaurants pile into their food. Anyway, my wife liked it, the kids and I were full, and everybody went away happy.

Looks like a bar from the outside...and there is a bar along one wall, but there are also booths and good food! It is basically a Chop House - steaks, burgers, pork chops etc. A fairly limited menu. But, what they offer is good. Fresh cut fries, good quality meat. They freeze their buns, so the consistency is a bit... More

We loved Ray's Tavern. The staff was very friendly and really wanted to wait on you. The menu doesn't offer a wide variety but the food was fabulous. We picked a spot at the bar and watched them cook it up. They all chip in to help each other and serve it up fast and friendly - kept the draft... More

Just what it says it is! Greasy, good burgers and great beer. Not much atmosphere. Could use some help there, but if your just coming for a quick meal and beer this works wonders for a tired soul. Service is good and food came fast. Let's face it, there's not much reason to be here, so if you are, then... More

We ate at Ray's Tavern 2 times, before our Holiday Expeditions rafting trip and after. Both times the food was very good and the service was excellent.

Ray's Tavern is a great place to stop for a good burger, fries, and cold beer, (good ice tea too). After you eat, head to the melon stand to pick up a yummy melon (August/September).

Stopped in for lunch and had a cheese burger and fries. Fries were good and crispy...the way i like them. The "factory pressed burger" patty was nothing special...was expecting a big hand pressed meat patty. Had to ask for more tomatoes and onion because what they offered was too small. Four stars are for the fast good service and good... More

Green River, Utah is an easy place to bypass. It's great if you need gas, the gas stations are easily located off each exit. Easy off, easy on.... but you never feel compelled to see what else Green River has to offer until now. It wasn't this past trip but the one before when we stopped for gas coming back... More
