If you like spicy flavors and are willing to travel to rural Utah, go to the grill. Lunch was a bit spendy but every ingredient was local and fresh. Server was young and enthusiastic. All servers have to put some time in on the farm...More

I can see (taste) why this is a James Beard winner and Multiple local culinary award winner. Great creative dishes made with all local, organic ingredients - including the cocktails. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. Service was friendly, fun and knowledgeable.

We were passing through Boulder and it was too early for lunch, but lucky for us, we decided to drive down Burr Trail for a bit, into the National Monument, so then it was time for lunch. What a GREAT restaurant! VERY high-quality food! Yummmmmmmm!

Stopped here for breakfast and could not have been happier. Creative dishes provided a feast of fresh foods and variety of tastes. Great stop part way through the drive along Scenic Route 12 and so glad we made the stop.

This restaurant is so awesome! Nice organic veggies, supreme meat and plenty of food for even the hungriest! My husband that hates beets didn't even realize he was eating them. The decor is lovely, and the location is fantastic. I love it. Will go again!

Do not miss a chance to dine at Hell's Backbone Grill in Boulder. Co-founded and run by a pair of women who practice Buddhism and organic farming, and source all offerings locally (except maybe the liquor, and they have some fine cocktails). The food was...More

Description
Opening for season nineteen on March 17, 2018! Blake and Jen serve fresh organic food that comes directly from their own 6.5 acre Boulder farm for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything we offer is handmade, even our hot sauce and jam! Our beef and lamb is grass-fed and finished and comes from a local rancher. We have children's menus available for all three meals. We're deeply committed to our farm to table ethos and to serving delicious place-based cuisine in a beautiful and casual setting. We offer a curated selection of sustainably produced wines and a full bar with craft cocktails. We also are able to offer food to go, if you are just driving on through!
