My wife and I spent the night at a motel up the street and decided to walk down here for supper. Are we ever glad we did! It's an 80's theme I think although I would guess it has been there much much longer! The place is clean, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated immediately and... More

This is a no frills 50's style diner with simple fare but it's well prepared and modestly priced. After a long day on the road this is a good place to have an uncomplicated meal.

We stopped here last Sunday. Good, clean, simple food. Good service, main dishes were good, but delicious roll and peanut butter pie! We've eaten here several times, and we'll continue to do so.

Ashel's has been a mainstay in Beaver since 1944 and now run by the son of the founder. They still know how to make great omelets and hash browns. And if you wish, the owner is a source of great stories about the yesteryears in Beaver.

This is comparative to an old diner. I had the coconut creme pie and a big salad. It was all good. What made it easy was that it was just a quick walk down from motel we stayed at named the Delano Motel

Stopped for lunch while passing through Beaver. Had the mushroom burger with fries. Walked away satisfied. Quick service and a tasty meal. Just what we were looking for. Also a clean place.

Friendly and very cute but the food was awful! From a club sandwich with very little other than bread and a hint of generic brand thin sliced sandwich meat to the specialty southwest chicken sandwich made of a frozen chicken breast cooked in the microwave and so tough my knife wouldn't cut through it, we were looking for something at... A sleepy cafe reminiscent of twenty--or maybe thirty years ago. Clean and friendly, but not particularly modern. Menu from the past, too. Have dessert--skip the meal.

We usually seek out cafes when we travel because eating at such an establishment is a good way to get a taste of the local color. You don't expect much at a cafe, but even with such low expectations Arshel's managed to disappoint. The food was all instant or frozen, from the canned soup to the peas and carrots served... More
