I typically hate danishes and when my husband told me he got me one, I was super bummed. But I was really surprised to find that it was CRAZY GOOD! I want to go back for one of those! Also - their kolaches were perfection. The dough is just right.

You can order a cake just about any way you want, including frosting, filling and topping. I ordered the Triple Chocolate cake for a birthday surprise and everyone really liked it. It was almost too sweet it was so rich! I would like to try others next time, but hard to turn down chocolate.

One of top 3, if not the best blueberry scone I've ever had. Was lucky to get there just as they were coming out of oven! Husband had jalapeño kolache-it was excellent! Place was clean with fast and friendly service. Cute patio area that is shaded.

Their chocolate cake is to die for! My partner drove ALL the way to Wimberley to surprise me with a cake from Sugar Shack for my graduate school graduation in May. We love nearly all of their tasty treats, and they have many gluten free options. It's best to go early, to have the most selection possible.

We stopped here for a quick breakfast before heading to the Blue Hole for swimming. We are so glad we did! These are some of the best baked goods we've ever had -- and we've had some great ones, particularly in Europe! The cinnamon sugar buns are decadent. Kolaches are superb. Coffee is mediocre - but you are there to... More

The staff is so friendly and helpful! Everything smells delicious so you can't go wrong. We ordered a few sandwiches and a dessert each for our picnic in the hill country. We honestly wanted to sample everything. Go. You won't regret it!

We were sent here by the place we stayed for breakfast. The pastries were wonderful and fresh and it has a nice place to sit outside and eat and drink a cup of coffee.

I've been to the sugar shack about 6 times. Always to pick up items to take home. Mostly I've picked up breakfast rolls but on the last visit I got a birthday cake. My husband and I have tried out most all of the breakfast items and our favorite is the sticky bun. So good! I got the chocolate cake... More

I would not have gone, but the Hotel Flora and Fauna offers a free breakfast from there. Oh boy! What have I been missing! My wife and I had kolaches. Mine was the bacon, cheese, and jalapeño. While my wife's was a bacon and egg. Both were a taste to behold. They also have coffee. This doesn't seem like anything... More
