If you want BBQ, Keep Driving! Sauce tastes like Spaghetti Sauce, burned sausage and brisket, OMGoodness, embarrassing! Some locals hope and pray an owner from Black's or Smitty's in Lockhart, Texas would stop in, see this, and immediately decide to open a restaurant in our sweet little town. Please, God, hear our prayers!

One of the best BBQ plates I have had and reasonably priced. Brisket was lean but very tender. Don't let the looks from the outside (or inside) deceive you.

While visiting Wimberley, we dropped in on a Friday night right before closing to get their Catfish special. Not very busy but the crew served up our catfish, beans and slaw quickly. The catfish was great - the breading used for coating the fish prior to cooking had a little spicy kick, just enough to make it interesting. The beans... More

I was taking a rare (for me), spontaneous approach with my visit to Wimberley. I only intended to visit the glass factory, but then lunch came and we needed someplace to eat. I get tired of eating at the chain restaurants, and will sometimes (rarely) venture off the beaten path. When we pulled up, I didn't know what to think.... More

Great tender barbeque, service was fast and price was right. Clean. Just be aware that Saturday market days in Wimberley can have high traffic. We went to market days first and then walked to this place for lunch. Was so good.

This place is in need of a BBQ cook; they serve cooked meat, but not good BBQ. Somehow they seem to not be sure how to run the place

It is a very good bbq place, small locally own and defiantly can compete with famous Salt Lick near by. They have great plates with turkey, I'm not a big fan of brisket but I heard it is good.

We have visited before, and it was good. We visited this week and the brisket was dry, what Texan likes dry brisket? The smoked chicken and sausage was good. Good cole slaw, but skip the beans and the cobbler! Sorry, but it was better last time we visited last year :(

I am a strong critic of BBQ, being a competition BBQ pit cooker I am even my worst critic. So when I say this place is hands down some of the best Texas BBQ I have ever eaten it doesn't come lightly. I have eaten here about 5 times and will be back for more. The house sauce is a... More

I asked a fella what he recommended at this place and he said, "stick with the daily blue plate special or the chile". Instead we tried all the various meats and sides- the brisket was dry and the rest just bland. Pulled pork? Not supposed to be allowed in this state. Owner service...odd.
