Branding Iron has been around my whole life. Where else can you go and get every possible type of smoked meat. From ribs to ham to smoked bologna they have it all. Now for the sides... Pea salad, macaroni salad, potatoe salad, too many to count beans, okra, cole slaw and the best pickles ever. Don't make a mistake and... More

Perfect food. Hole in the wall atmosphere. Local nostalgia ambiance. True Old Texas experience. I have loved this place all my life! This is where I bring visitors and what I measure all real smoked barbecue against. I've NEVER found a better sauce, it's amazing!

All the meats are all great ( I always get the smoked sausage) and sides are awesome especially the beans! Free refills on drinks, too!

Stopped and asked for a recommendation for good BBQ and was told to go to The Branding Iron. Was off the beaten path, but the food was great. I cleaned my plate. If possible, next time passing through, I will stop again.

The wife and I stopped in here based on the reviews. The reviews aren't wrong! This is some of the best Texas BBQ that I've ever had. Meats available are brisket, smoked sausage, pork ribs, and ham. The wife got the brisket plate (comes with two sides: potato salad, cole slaw, pinto beans, fried okra, macaroni salad, pea salad, battered... More

We've been eating here as long as I can remember. The meets always good, and I haven't tried all of the sides because I have my favorites. They've catered some of our events, and the people have always been friendly. You do have to bring cash, no cards accepted. I'd probably eat there more if they did take cards, but... More

If I am wanting barbecue this is the place I go. Always good and the price is reasonable. This is not fine dining but has a great local flavor - Rustic. You go through a serving line and pick you food and you can get a much trimmings as you can put on your plate. You will not go away... More

Took several clients to lunch during a weekday. Food was above average with the biggest surprise being not accepting credit or debit cards.
