We stopped here on our way home from a reunion. We all had the chicken fried steak lunch special. The steak and the sides were wonderful along with the large roll.

Mary's always has great catfish. Nothing stingy about the portions either. It is one of my favorite lunch stops. They just need to make it completely non smoking. I know...I used to smoke myself, but most people don't and it costs you business. If not then put in ventilation that will keep the smoke out of the non smoking section.... More

At first glance, Mary's is nothing to brag about. Even at second glance, it's rustic. But that gives it charm, and if you have any sense of humor, you'll find the writings on the walls hilarious. The waitresses are friendly, and their down-home food is quite good for the price. Located 10 miles south of I-20 on Tin Top, it's... More

Nice "off the beaten path" mom and pop restaurant offering tasty country fare. Lots of rural flavor in both the food and the rural decor.

My wife, sister in law and I had breakfast there today. We are regulars and love the waitstaff and the welcome you feel here. Always food food and if something is wrong, they will make it right. I inexpensive but good comfort food. We love to go there and you will like it too. Not fancy so don't expect that.

Steph and I stop here on our Nike ride for breakfast. Great down home cooking. Inexpensive and good size portions.

Introduced my husband to this place and he was happy with the chicken fried steak. We got there around 2:00 and all of the specials were gone except for the chicken and dumplings. We got the large CFS ($9.95) as opposed to the small CFS ($7.95) with two sides. I got curly fries and fried squash and a generous slice... More

We always dine here when boating the Brazos at Tin Top. Good old fashioned catfish, burgers & breakfast. All served with a smile on the waitstaff faces.

This little mom and pop place is a little bit out of the way, but not too far...it took is about 15 minutes to get there from the hotel, and I was 8 the mood for some fish fry. Worth the drive, plus there's numerous ranch houses to gaze upon and look at on the way. The catfish was seasoned... More

Ordered the all-you-can-eat catfish and butterfly shrimp with baked potato and pinto beans. Fish was not fishy, and cooked properly. I normally wouldn't order shrimp in a country cafe, but since it was a combo plate, I knew I could stick with the catfish if the shrimp wasn't up to par. Granted, it was not fresh out of the gulf,...
