Most people don't intentionally venture out to Watauga, but it's pretty awesome that there's a restaurant featured by the Food Network here! Yes, it is indeed in a gas station, but you should definitely check it out. It's not what you are envisioning. There's a neat story behind the restaurant. You will NOT leave hungry that is for sure. The... More

On family vacation from Florida to visit family and really wanted to eat and experience this gas station / restaurant! Very interesting story behind it. I had the blackened stuffed chicken and angel hair pasta which was amazing with the asiago cheese! The waiter was attentive but a little too talkative (I always wish waiters anticipate our needs - do... More

This place was recommended to us. My wife and I came in today and the food and service was really good. We'll be back when the weather has cooled down. Maybe in the fall, so we can sit on their outside patio.

Chef Point cafe is located with a Conoco gas station. There is ample parking on the side and rear. The menu has a variety of items from comfort foods, sandwiches , and such dishes as crab stuffed chicken, osso bucco, fish, pork. We tried the crab artichoke starter and found it to have ample crab and and a tasty sauce, however the garlic toast... More

I know that this restaurant was featured on the ever popular Diners Drive-in and Dives but it is SO over rated and over priced.

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD! My wife, another couple and i went here yesterday and this is how it went. 9:00 reservation. showed up at 850 and were immediately seated. took the server 10 minutes to come and take our drink order. which she took so long we already knew what appetizers we wanted too so we ordered them... Had an exceptional dinner with co-workers in this unique, restaurant! Delicious Shrimp Pasta with spinach, pine nuts, and a delicate garlic sauce. Devine! Others had the Bloody Best - a double bloody mary with a meal as the garnish. You must see it to believe it! Lobster Bisque in a bread bowl. Exquisite. Chicken pesto pasta - and the list... More

We had heard so many good things about this place. The food was okay and so was the service. I was expecting so much more after seeing all the rave reviews and people saying it was 5 star quality. It was definitely overpriced for what it was. It was a cool place (inside of a gas station) and the Bloody... More

Chef Point Cafe lived up to the great reviews. I must admit...I'm a foodie and it takes quite a bit for me to get really excited over something... but Chef Point was amazing. The servers were friendly and very professional. Our party ordered 'What Nots' for an appetizer (stuffed mushroom caps.) It was very good. For Entrees I would recommend... More

This was our first visit to the "gas station" that Guy Fieri made famous. We hosted a party of 20 for a friend and found the staff to be fabulous. Jonathon handled the party with flying colors. Fabulous drinks and appetizers. And the entres were delicious. We will definitely be back.
