This is a nice dinner house with a warm atmosphere. Food was very good but I would skip the Seafood Curry - too soupy. But ordering fish in Waco might not be the best choice. Service was very good, helpful and friendly. We had a large group and were taken care of well. They have some unusual items on the... More

We appreciate your review but just wanted to let you and others know that we specialize in bringing Waco the freshest seafood possible! Our fresh seafood is flown in to Dallas and then brought to us here in Waco. It arrives twice a week on ice. Then Chef Aris does his magic by filleting the big fish like Halibut and... More

After reading the reviews we were excited to try the bistro. Our service was average with the waitress coming back on 2 occasions to recheck what we had ordered. Bread service was bland with hard butter in individual plastic containers, the Caesar salads were good but dinner was disappointing, chicken alfredo was very soupy and appetizer was lukewarm. The ambiance... More

My wife and I ordered a bottle of wine and an shrimp and scallops as an appetizer. Both were excellent. Our waiter, Dalton, was most attentive. I ordered beef tenderloin and the wife ordered mahi mahi. The food was amazing!! To cap the night off, we ordered creme brûlée and coffee. Most excellent atmosphere and food.

Food was just ok. Ceasar salad is not served with croutons but with crushed crumbs. Thought that was strange. The ceasar dressing was good. Chicken picata was just ok. Service was excellent.

Best meal in whole Texas trip. Despite not finding the door at first we had a great meal and excellent service at this restaurant. Liz pointed it out on our tour and it is well worth your time to have dinner there

This lovely little place was a nice spot for a very tasty dinner. Delicious fish options, and a willingness to substitute carbs for veggies without fuss or upcharge. Nice staff.

Come and enjoy the casual elegance of one of Waco's better restaurants. The menu is excellent. I recommend the Orange Roughy or their Jambalaya from scratch; however my wife loves the Beef Wellington. The Chocolate Brulee' is also a special treat to close out your meal. I highly recommend 1424 for any special night or if visiting the Waco area.

My wife and I go to 1424 whenever we can. It's by far the best place for a date in Waco. The lamb shanks are to die for and not expensive! For lunch, the lamb gyros are amazing and the lunch options are super affordable. I went to NYC recently and had high expectations but honestly, I couldn't find any... More

The food here is consistently good. They do a good job with both beef and seafood. They always have several specials that usually quite good, but check the price before ordering. They on a list with no prices and are usually a good bit more expensive than the rest of the menu. To me the interior has a strange smell,... More

We thank you as our customer and reviewer and will always work towards solving any problems that arise and we are always trying to make things right. The front dining and bar area is from the original back in the fifties ( as a popular Candy Shop). We have replaced a cracked ventilation pipe for plumbing which we suspected was... More
