Awesome meal. Even though the restaurant was packed, we were sat within 5 min. And had our food on the table within 10 minutes of walking in the door. I got the Catfish, which was crunchy in the outside, but pillowy on the inside. Everyone...else got burgers which were also really good. Well be back.More

Georges is a must if you're visiting Waco. They have an extensive menu and grear food. My only complaint is that parking can be a challenge and getting a seat can be problematic.

Our server was so amazing. I was not expecting much to be honest but was in for a shock. The food was so good!! If you are ever in Waco look them up.

In town for a few hours and convinced the family we had to go here because of the Pat Green song. Ee truly enjoyed the place. The Cadillac Burger was fantastic, the smokehouse burger was great and the George was out of this world. However,...I had to have the Pat Green Southern Chicken with queso and pico de gallo. It was fantastic. Too bad I don't travel to Waco often or this would be a mandatory "go to:" placeMore

This is based in multiple visits, but employees think they are there to congregate, gossip amongst themselves, play, and ignore customers. It seems nobody is holding them accountable. The atmosphere is just never good there unfortunately. It is as if they believe that bc they...are a local business, the locals will take care of them, so they don't have to watch how they treat people. Lots of snarky attitude among their staff . I won't be back there.More

We had the lunch special chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken sides and all was very good! Their onion rings were hand made and the best we’ve had in Waco so far! The potato salad was very nice as well as the broccoli and...rice was very good also! Very fair price and Bailie our server did an excellent job! Give Bailie a raise! This was our first time to G2 and we are not related or friends with anyone there! Keep up the good work!More

We ate dinner with friends at this place and would definitely return. The atmosphere was nice but not too loud and the food tasted delicious. The drinks were nice size and decently priced as well.

The services we received were for catering and bartending for my daughters wedding. I would like to preface this by saying I was extremely impressed with the catering staff and bartenders. Not only were they helpful and professional but the bartenders went above and beyond...to help with things that weren’t even part of their job!! My issue here is poor management. From the beginning, there was a serious lack of communication. I was tossed from one person to another leaving my initial needs in question. When I was able to communicate with a manager they either did not follow up with my requests for quote/invoice or they were very vague with details, which for a wedding is not at all appropriate. Granite there were a couple last minute things like asking if they could bring BBQ sauce because my daughter (bride) loves it on her CFS. -The catering staff was late setting up and in turn interrupted the bride and grooms entrance! -My husband and I had to bartend for almost an hour because the catering staff had a person or two late and the bartenders were helping set up for food! -He forgot BBQ sauce! -When I called the manager to make him aware of these things he was very short and snappy with me and insisted I was lying. He did nothing to remedy the situation and left our issues unresolved and ultimately the customer upset!! **All in all if you wanna have a quick bite to eat at George’s for lunch or dinner, that’s your stop. Great food, fun atmosphere. **For catering, if I could give less than one star I would have because I’d rather sit on a bag of bumblebees than to use them again!!More

The best thing - the food was ok. Overall two of the four in our party said this was the worst George’s experience ever. I hate to say it, but I have to agree. The food: Chicken Fried Chicken was good (ordered by 2 in...the party). The catfish was overcooked and dry. The lunch nachos did not arrive until after we finally gave up and asked for the check. The food and service: The Appetizers did not come out until 10 minutes after the lunch was delivered so it is harder to evaluate since we did not really get to enjoy them. The forth person in the group ordered plain nachos (bean and cheese only) that was originally delivered incorrectly (fully loaded) and sent back. We were told repeatedly the appetizers and lunch nachos were coming but in the end the appetizers were very late and we finally asked to cancel the nachos after waiting over 20 minutes after the rest of the meals were delivered. We finally asked for the check so we could just leave. The service: apart from the food service, my Wife and Mother-in-Law asked two different servers for refills of sweet tea - it took way too long and we were clearly forgotten. We were almost finished with the meal before the received their first refill. After asking for the check and telling the server we just wanted to leave, the server was apologetic and said the food (Nachos) was almost ready and she had been trying to get the kitchen to hurry up, but by then we were done. She said the manager would come out but we never saw them and I had already waited way too long. This was a huge disappointment given some of my past experiences before COVID. I would have a lower rating but the chicken fried chicken was good. In the end we were given the lunch nachos for the fourth member of our party in a “to go” box and were not charged for that.More

The food is good. We have been dining at both George's for over 15 years but no more. About three years or so ago. Capital One sent me a text saying my service must have been very good or something was wrong. Later we found...out the girl at the original store was not happy with her 20% tip so she changed it to 50%. A call to the restaurant and it was quickly fixed. This time at the newer place. The girl changed the ticket after it was signed and added a 60% tip after I signed the bill and had left. I text the restaurant several times but could never get a good answer besides she must have made a mistake . So after 10 days called Capital one. They removed the tip. So for all you Baylor parents, if you see some really strange things on your kids card. You may want to check.More

This is a sports bar, but a good one. Great TVs, great food and great service. I had a Philly Cheese Steak and fries, my wife had fried chicken. All great. Will return. Had a salad as well that was perfect. We will be back.

We were in Waco visiting to see all of the Magnolia places. I read about George's Restaurant on Yelp and it sounded great so my husband and I decided to try it. We were staying at a hotel in South Waco and saw that it...was only about 8 minutes away. So off we went! We asked for a table outside because we thought that it would be safer that way. (COVID) They did have a table outside and it was a cool evening so we were happy about that. We ordered and split the Fisherman's Dinner On the dinner, we chose fried shrimp, blackened redfish and fried catfish. Our choice of veggies were the broccoli rice casserole and garlic potatoes. We also ordered side salads and rolls with homemade salad dressing. There was so much food and it was outstanding! Try George's, you won't be sorry. It is famous among the locals! By the way, our server was Britain and she was amazing!More

Just visited for the first time in several months since the shelter-in-place got lifted. Good to see the crowd from the neighborhood! Had to wait about 15 minutes was no big thing. Tables were spaced too. But food was good as ever as were the...drinks and just felt badly for our server who had to try to work and talk to us through her mask! Had a patty melt and my wife had the fried shrimp! We'll keep supporting you folks!More

We get to George's about 1 or 2 times a month and always have great food and a great place to watch sport and for some reason always meet fun new people. It's just got that kind of vibe. However, the last two times in...the bar, Lexi waited on us and gotta say, she's really great. We own several service-tourism businesses as well as our own bar and restaurant (not in Waco) and eat out extensively. Lexi is a gem. Just wanted to give her a shoutout. She actually engages her customers even tho' she's running all over. Gives you recommendations on what's good and what's not. Always checking on her folks as well and doing it with a smile.More

We were traveling through Waco and only ate there once, I believe we were there a little before noon on a week day and waited about 10 minutes, well worth the wait.
