Delicious frozen custard at a place that's like a step back in time. My Coffee Toffee Cyclone was great as was my wife's Rocky Road Sundae. My boys had milkshakes that they loved and gobbled up in no time. Kind of pricey, but very good.

Katie's is locally owned and has been around for years. We're fans of the chocolate. So smooth and creamy!

Just happened on this gem on a road trip through Texas. Holy cow, were we ever lucky! Had a Whoa bacon burger box. The burger is slider size so order two if you're hungry. The sauce is special and really jazzed up the French fries. Hubby had a cup of chocolate and I had vanilla. Sincerely the best frozen custard... More

As I was driving South on I-35 I noticed the billboard for this place. I thought to myself if the place has a billboard it must be worth trying. I went out of my way to eat here and the the food was just as good as advertised. Although the portions are small, the taste is great. The burgers are... More

We love frozen custard and saw Katie's on TA. We had just eaten lunch, but Found room for small cones, which were not small at all. Hubby had vanilla while I had the butter pecan which was loaded with large pecan pieces. The custard is made fresh every day which means it melts a bit faster since it is softer.... More

Had the butter pecan custard and chocolate custard at Katie's. I would recommend Katie's if the weather is nice, because you only get to sit outside. It is a fun place with picnic tables under a covered roof. There is not much else, just a funky converted gas station into a ice cream stand.

Katie's is amazing - the ingredients are fresh and flavorful and the service is incredibly helpful. We're huge fans of good frozen custard, so we've been several times this trip to Waco. Each time we've both ordered some pretty adventurous combinations of toppings/ingredients, and they've been perfect every time. I've tried both the sundae and the cyclone (mixed, like a... More

Such a cool little place. Looks like its a repurposed gas station. DELICIOUS custard and so many options. I had a hard time choosing. Well worth it.

It's the strangest feeling, eating at this place. Years ago it was a gas station that was shut down for not paying their taxes! That has nothing to do with Katie's Frozen Custard though. The food is really pretty good but I do wish that they had a place to eat indoors. Many has been the time that we would... More
