Some things are just bigger in Texas and Rudy's BBQ in Waco fits the bill. Even though we arrived at noon on a Sunday, the line moved fast and the service was outstanding. The girl taking my order even offered to slice my kids chopped brisket sandwich in two without me even saying they were splitting it. The tea was... More

Very down to earth atmosphere, Awesome BBQ. The meat was very juicy, the sauces were a great complement to the meat.

Firstly the BBQ is great, and good value for the money. Queue up, tell them what you want, you pay, get your food / drinks and then find a table. When I say rudimentary, I am talking about sheets of paper thrown on top of tables to catch the BBQ mess. Actually a pretty smart way of eating BBQ. After... More

We enjoy Rudys in Austin but when we pass through Waco, the Rudys at the circle is a must stop. They have pulled pork sandwiches that for some reason they don't offer in Austin.

We stopped here on our way to Austin and were glad we did. This is a no fuss BBQ place with great brisket. It's counter service/cafeteria style but it is tasty food nonetheless. The brisket was flavorful and juicy. We got potato salad and beans for sides. Both were great choices. It's noisy and crowded but worth the visit.

Me and my family had a great time at Rudy's when we went in to Waco for the day. All the food is delicious, especially the creamed corn! They supplied everything you would need for a good BBQ meal. The service was good, but it was crowded. Lots of choices, and they offer puddings, coleslaw, and even drinks like Big... More

This was a pleasant surprise. Fantastic BBQ. Chicken was not as good as all the other BBQ on menu but still fantastic.

Fall off the bone good barbecue! So good we had to buy some to take back to Indiana. Rudy's offers a wide range of menu options. The meat choices are all good as well as a great variety of sides. I do have to caution you on their dessert sizes. I did not want a small dessert as we were... More

Outstanding for a chain restaurant. The brisket and baby back ribs were great. Creamed corn was Very good. You ate on butcher paper but it was waxed on one side to keep it nice. You can sit on s chair or picnic bench.

Most of my family loves Rudy's and would give it 5 stars. I just go along to be sociable. As for me, I think the barbeque is fine but not my favorite. Most of all I really dislike the ordering process. The menu is more confusing than it needs to be. Also, I really dislike eating off of butcher paper.... More

Just north of San Antonio, at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, sits the small community of Leon Springs. Founded in the 1800s by Max Aue, Leon Spring's cityscape changed when Max's son, Rudolph, opened a one-stop gas station, garage, and grocery store. Bar-B-Q was added to the operation in 1989, and Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q has been serving up tasty food ever since. The same original recipes that built Rudy's Leon Springs' reputation are now available throughout the Southwest. Our pits are 100% wood fired with oak, a slower burning wood than the mesquite used by others. Along with time and oak, we cook with a dry spice that ensures each plate of Rudy's Bar-B-Q is perfectly ready for you. Apply some of our famous "Sause" and dinner is served.
