They changed the credit card tip!!

Celebrated a birthday dinner. The female server had no personality or expressions whatsoever. The food was bland and one dish had a hair in it. They took it away and the server informed us rudely that it was no longer on the bill. So, we paid and left. A few days later we checked the bank account and found that they had changed the tip! Fortunately the bank contacted the restaurant and fixed it, but we will NEVER go back!

This restaurant has been around a long time. It was THE place to go for Chinese food. Its far from great, now just ok. We ordered from the very reasonably priced lunch menu, which included iced tea. The portions were good but unfortunately the quality was bland.

Spaghetti lo mein?

Should've went to China B. They actually used spaghetti noodles in the shrimp lo mein. It was kind of weird. I'm sorry but it's just not the same lol. Oh yea, and they gave me like five shrimp. What the?

AWEFUL FOOD ADVISE NOT TO GO

No flavor at all. The fried rice was steamed rice with yellow color. The chicken lettuce wraps was mostly only that was barely cooked. I had to order some housin sauce to give it a little flavor and still could eat it with the raw onions. The egg rolls were mostly dough and hardly cooked. When we complained the owner came out and we explained. He said that I ordered an appetizer and they had been serving their rice for 40 years. The guy was like 45. We paid the bill and left. I only could leave one circle cause I had to fill all the fields or I would've left none.

Contrary to most all the reviews here, we really enjoyed Dragon Palace. Lunch specials, though limited in number are a great price, and we found the food quite tasty. I had one with a flame beside it, and it wasn't too spicy. Though the hostess/greeter was trying to do too many things at once, our server was friendly and attentive

Used to go back in the 70s when I was in college and it was really good. Went today and it was probably the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Hot and sour soup was sweet with no taste. Main menu was luke warm and I had to send it back. Meat was tough and overall very salty. I ate a few bites, paid for it and left, never to return.

Like the other reviews said, this place is just not what it used to be. The past few times I have been here I have been highly disappointed. Their lunch specials are cheap but the food is bad quality.

Poor Customer Service

I regretted my choice to visit the Dragon Palace Chinese Restaurant in Victoria, Texas, for lunch on 12/06/2011. I am a 50 year old Chinese American and should have known better not to stay immediately after I was seated. I have been to many chinese restaurants in my lifetime and this is the worst. The server made a simple order and mistakenly served the soup I ordered to someone other than me, and when I did receive my soup it was not "hot." My lunch partner that I had lunch with ordered the Tuesday Special that came with an ice tea; however, when the server was told she did not receive the ice tea, she was told it would be coming right away, but she never received her tea. I attempted to complain to the hostess/owner of the business at the register when I paid for the meals, the hostess/owner did not apologize or even offered if I would like to take my drinks to go. In addition, the preparation of the food was unpleasant to look at and bland. I am mainly disgusted with the way we were treated at the restaurant and it was apparent the business was more interested in moving customers in and out without any care in making their customers happy after we were seated. I do not recommed eating at this restaurant, because it needs much improvement in customer service and cooking good, delicious, and authentic chinese food.

Great food, and recently renovated

This restaurant has been open since 1979, and has become a favorite of mine over the past few years. For the longest time, I was told that it was dirty and the food wasn't very good. However, I went once with friends and really enjoyed it. Now, it's a frequent dining spot for both me and my fiance. The food is great, and I recommend the lemon chicken, mongolian beef, crispy duck, and beef lo mein. The only thing I don't suggest eating is the hot and sour soup. The food is made fresh to order, and you get a lot for what you pay. The prices are pretty decent too. It's been recently renovated, and it was much needed. It's now much cleaner and has better decor. The service is usually pretty good, although on occasion it can be a little slow. Great flavorful chinese!

Horrible

I used to like Dragon Palace but the past few times I have been in there I have gotten horrible service except from Julie. The lady at the counter is so rude . Go to Better Business Bureau and read the complaint against them before you decide to give them your business. You couldn't pay me to go there now!
