Just a smal restaurant but a huge value. Dine in or take out available. Come in and make your order at the counter. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. My wife has a burger and fries and I had the chicken fried steak with a salad. We both loved our food and will return when passing through Victoria. This is an extremely clean restaurant both the dining area and restrooms.

A little different, but who likes the same old thing all the time? Menu is mounted on the wall and you order at the counter. They do bring the food out to you. The staff is extremely friendly, and the place is homey and very clean. Certainly see why it’s top rated in Victoria. Nothing fancy but if you’re looking for a good meal at a fair price this is the place.

The Best Tenderest CHICKEN FRIED STEAK EVER.
I have had many from different places. Very friendly service. Other food very good.
I lived here before. But now in Houston TX.
Must have Chicken Fried Steak.!!!

Because they have received recognition in Best of the Best competition, we wanted to sample their home-style foods. It is obviously a popular lunch stop, but their food is neither fast (which they state up front) nor exceptional. Since we search for the best chicken fried steak, we found theirs to be just OK, certainly not the best in the area. The catfish tasted muddy and fishy, and it is certainly not the best in the area.

Counter service, they brought out food fairly quickly. The salad was from a bag, ugh, and had some brown lettuce leaves. I don't think their salad dressing was home made, and neither was the roll or gravy on our chicken fried chicken. The CFC was ok, seemed like a previously frozen portion. Looks like they let you bring in your own wine.

This is an order at the counter "hamburger joint." We'd been here before and were back only because we'd forgotten the name. We were very hungry, so stayed and ordered, despite the loud music. The word "ambiance" is too fancy for this place. Probably won't be back.

The staff very nice and friendly. The fried shrimp was delicious. We enjoyed eating in a friendly atmosphere. The service was fast and we did not have to wait long

Very pleased with visit on Tuesday with daughter and two grandchildren. Each one enjoyed very much. Very tasteful served and delicious in taste. Service outstanding too.

I found this place from Tripadvisor, so was hopeful. This is a restaurant where you order at the counter, go sit down and they will bring your food to your table. When you're finished, you take your tray to the big trash bin and dump your trash. Here's the rub with this method, NO ONE wipes down the tables!! We were there for 40 minutes for dinner and not one server came out to clean a vacant table. People get up to leave and the next person comes over to sit down. Our table had a couple napkins and the plastic order number left behind, but being our first time here, we didn't realize how this worked. It's really pretty disgusting. A table a couple over from ours had little kids being little kids with messy food and the parents just picked up the pieces with the paper napkins. Then the next person came over to sit down and took a paper napkin to swipe over the areas of the table that I'm guessing were sticky or.......whatever. Double J, you need to get your people out there and wipe those tables down. Geesh.
The other thing, turn the music down. For heaven's sake it's not a bar.
I had the shrimp po boy sandwich and it was so delicious. My husband had the grilled shrimp salad and he had to pick out a few pieces of brown, wilted lettuce which kind of grosses him out. Listen, when I can get him to eat a salad, I want him to eat the whole thing.

Good, food, friendly employees. Very busy during lunch but they do a good job of getting the food out. Some days you might have to share a large table with others because it can get crowded but no one seems to mind. They have a great variety of food so you are sure to find something you like, even healthy salads.

Great deal for the chicken fried chicken platter - and very tasty too! Large chicken portion, homemade mashed potatoes & small salad. Added a drink and got lunch for 2 for around $25.00.
Good choice for lunch on our drive back to Dallas from Rockport.

We had CFS and cheeseburger, All was good, not great. For the price no complaints. I think you get more with the Steak fingers than the CFS and it is the same meat. If I was to complain it would be the plastic plates, but then again this is a Fast food place. A+ for Service, A+ for fast service, A+ for Price, A for food. Of course we will return again next week.

It’s a great place to go eat. Staff is very friendly and the food is great. I would recommend the chicken fried steak or the cheese burger. It’s nothing fancy it’s a quite little place that has a great relaxing feel while your there. I would recommend this place to anybody.
