Potpourri House was just as good as I remembered. The food was great. The live music was a nice touch. The gift shop has lovely, unusual finds. Go!

The Potpourri House has been a part of Tyler for years! It's been owned by the same family and they are truly a part of the Tyler culture. There is a really good gluten-free menu, a beautiful soup, potato and salad bar with more than the usual stuff, and a great menu. The chef offers specials each day ... my... More

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here. The food is great! The sandwiches are homemade, everything is ripe & fresh! My favorites are the salad & potato bar, spiced tea, & creme brulee. Stay & shop @ the boutique - lots to see.

I visited this place for a pre-planned meeting in a dinning room separate from the main restaurant so therefore I did not dine in the restaurant, nor order from the menu. (Sadly did not get to shop in the gift shop) The meeting room is ample for about 50 people and is located near the restrooms. We were given the... More

Ate here twice with family during a weeks stay. Parents loved the soup and salad bar. I had NY strip stake nicely prepared. My daughters salmon was a bit overcooked but she enjoyed it. The service was tad slow but overall friendly staff

Love this place. The atmosphere is beautiful. They have a salad bar option which includes baked potatoes and soup. Many menu items are good too... Chicken crepes, strawberry spinach salad. After you eat you can look around their pretty upscale shop. Owner also usually stops by the table to see how you're enjoying your food.

While in Tyler last week, we wanted to go someplace different, so we chose the Potpourri House. The atmosphere is wonderful and is both beautiful and lends itself well to conversation. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with a cup of broccoli cheese soup. It was delicious. We also ordered the strawberry house salad. It has the most delete strawberry... More

We enjoy going to Potpourri House for business lunches. It's quiet and easy to get in and out of. Good food, good service. Normally get the salad bar with soup and it's more than enough for lunch. One thing I don't like are the "models" wandering around and showing off the clothes. They tend to interrupt conversation and I'm not... More

Charlotte, Thanks for the great review. We actually stopped the modeling a few years ago. You were not the only one with those feelings. Come see us when you are in town. Les Ellsworth More

We found this place quite by accident while looking for a way back on to loop 323. It is off the beaten path but is well worth finding. The place is fantastic. Our dinner started with complimentary fresh bread that was melt in your mouth delicious. We had the cheese ravioli, Stromboli, and chicken Marsala. We sampled each other's dishes... More

I love PH. One of my favorite places to go for lunch. Also, when hosting any type of shower or event PH does an excellent job to help with anything and everything. Make sure to get the pimento cheese!

Les and Carol Ellsworth opened The Potpourri House in September 1982 as a tea room in a yellow 1904 Victorian home on Front Street in Tyler. The Ellsworths made many trips to Europe to furnish the new restaurant - and every piece of furniture could be purchased by customers, including their table and chairs! Several years later, The Potpourri House moved to the Off Broadway Shopping Center and incorporated a Victorian-themed garden, with a Women's Boutique and Gift Shop. Our current 16,000 square foot location at 3320 Troup Highway has been the home of Potpourri since 1998 and continues the tradition of being Tyler's most unique shopping and dining experiences. The Potpourri House is the perfect event venue for your business meeting, seminar, fundraiser, luncheon, family reunion, wedding, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, baby shower, award ceremony, birthday party, anniversary party, Christmas party, graduation party - whatever the occasion! Let us cater an event at your location for up to 800 people. The Ellsworth family still owns and operates the Potpourri House over 30 years later and believes in supporting family relationships. We seek to instill our values into the business at every level, including being closed on Sundays and major holidays to allow our staff to enjoy time with their own families. Whether you come to dine, shop or celebrate, the Potpourri experience is like none other in East Texas!
