We were going to a concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and decided to eat at Jasper's before the show. We arrived about 5:15 pm. We chose to eat in the bar because it has a full dinner menu, as well as the Happy Hour menu. Happy Hour is from 4pm - 7pm. Drinks--Hubby chose the Happy Hour red... More

Firstly on arrival I found the hostess to be unfriendly, no welcoming feel. Didn't bother to communicate to us, but the two ladies who I also presume were hostesses. Not the best of starts as of course this is a customers first impression. Service again was just average, I was expecting something better. Maybe had I ordered several glasses of... More

This place is a nice steak restaurant. We did not need reservations this Saturday night but the hostess said most the time reservations are required. She said she would at least recommend calling first about availability. It is fine dining so the prices are high but the food did hold up to the price. Great place to come before or... More

Good food and service, plus it is in a great area so you can walk off your dinner or hit one of the local bars.

I selected Jasper's as a lunch location for a very special meal for our work team. I'm a picky eater and so is another coworker. First, the restaurant is beautiful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I immediately thought it would be great to be on the porch for happy hour. Sometimes pretty spaces don't produce good food, but this... More

Very Good. The blue cheese chips were a great starter. Very tasty. I feasted on the bone in ribeye. It was flavorful, prepared correctly and tender. This is a worth while stop. Pricey, but very good.

Food was bland and unimaginative. Service sub-par. Too many good restaurants in the greater Houston area to bother here.

I love their salmon entree. They have good cocktails too. This place is trendy and pricey. Great for couples and families. Love their outdoor seating.

On business to Texas we took a group of 6 ladies for dinner at their suggestion of Jasper's. Most had only been here for happy hour and not dinner, so we were so happy to find that everything exceeded expectations. The blue cheese chips are phenomenal and not too strong or overpowering -make sure to get the large basket because... More

Description
Bringing the best of the backyard to the restaurant scene When award winning, celebrity chef Kent Rathbun created the gourmet backyard cuisine concept, some scoffed. Others thought it was crazy enough that it might just work. Well as it turned out, Chef Kent was onto something and his unique concept soon became an award winner too - a Nation's Restaurant News Hot Concept! Award winner. What exactly is gourmet backyard cuisine? It relies on fresh, seasonal ingredients of the highest quality. It uses recipes that are familiar and loved. It combines the two, elevating both to a level that's comforting, yet unexpected at the same time. Lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch and Sunday night family-style or regular service dinner -every meal is simpler than you'd expect from an Iron Chef America winner and better than you've ever had in any backyard or restaurant.
