To go food was cold, caprese salad was over priced for what it was, and mozzarella was dry. Staff was extremely rude as well. Find another restaurant in The Woodlands- better choices out there.More

The food, atmosphere and service is always over the top. We’ve tried several different dishes and they’re all amazing!
The best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been too. The service was the best I’ve ever had and the food was amazing.
The soup had great flavor.... The salad was also good The short ribs and the pasta was cooked perfect Average ticket is 35.00 a person
You might say we stumbled into Via Emilia just looking for a late dinner. What a find!!! Excellent ambiance along with old-world Italian cuisine. The food was fresh and brought to the table hot near bubbling. Just the way I like it. Melt in your...mouth tender. Give the Wedge Salad a try. You'll love it! The staff were professional and very attentive to our needs. If you're like me.....you know that a real professional can make all the difference in a dining experience. The wine list was spectacular...although don't discount the "House" Chianti. We ate and drank until we could eat and drink no more. The Owner came by and spoke with us about our dining experience and was very personable. And.....during our meal I leaned over and commented to my wife that I wondered if it was too late for music from the piano. At that very moment, the piano player struck up a nice subtle tune from George Shearing I believe. That was "The Sign." We will definitely become a regular at Via Emelia.More
Hi there- Thank you so very much for dining with us, and for taking the time to review us. We are so pleased to know you enjoyed your meal, the wine, and music from our pianist! We hope to serve you again soon.
Family owned, excellent service, upscale Italian deserving of its reputation. Live Piano player for ambiance, award winning deserts.
Our first visit was excellent . Food was well prepared, tasty and not overly expensive . White table cloths, nicely dressed servers and live entertainment that started at 6:30 pm. Not a shorts & tee shirt restaurant but very nice for a Date Night or...special occasion.More
We went to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary, and this was for us a real splurge and treat. First, our appetizer was I think the best appetizer we've ever eaten in our life (an arugula salad with fig, cheese, prosciutto, and pecans). Unfortunately we weren't...terribly thrilled with our main dishes (red snapper and lamb shank). But dessert was another home run (canoli). I could not eat the lamb. It was just too gamey for my liking. That said, if you enjoy that type of taste slathered in a heap of chopped tomatoes and carrots, You will enjoy it. Plenty of other reviews of it are postiive. It just wasn't for me. The service was good, and the wine was excellentMore
The ambiance, piano music and well trained staff made for a special birthday dinner for my husband. The food was delicious, we will go again!
Excellent authentic Italian food. Flavors are amazing...every dish. Excellent wine list. Service is excellent. Warm and elegant atmosphere. Food to try: sausage and peppers, side of meatballs, garlic bread and/or fried asparagus with crab meat sauce as an appetizer. Salads are always great. Then anything...from spaghetti classico, Osso buco, beef short rib, pork medallions, chicken parmigiana, limone chicken, sea bass, and red snapper are all wonderful/excellent. Allow substitution for pasta on the main dishes. It's the one restaurant I rotate what I eat each time because of quality and wanting variety. Because the food is that amazing!More
I very much enjoyed my meal and the service at Via Emilia. Having grown up with an italian Grandma and 3 Italian aunts, there was always lots of good Italian cooking on Sundays, so I will admit to being a little picky. My one complant...about Via Emilia is the use of a seasoning like chili oil, or cumin, (not sure what it is exactly) that is used in the Chicken Limoncello and the Chicken Parmesan. It just doesn't belong in Italian cuisine, IMO. I would definitely not order either of those items again. Took one star off the rating for the seasoning problem. However, the Via Emilia cream sauce is really good, and their Pomodoro sauce is excellent. Also had a wedge salad and it was excellent. Via Emilia does use quality ingredients which makes a huge difference. The service was very friendly and attentive, but not to the point of being annoying. We will be back.More
Excellent food with great service. Loved the limoncello martini and the fig and prosciutto bruschetta. We had the salmon over asparagus and the snapper with linguine alio oglio. The snapper was delicious but heavy. The house Cabernet was yummy. Ended with a decaf espresso and...the raspberry white chocolate bread pudding (with ice cream). We’re so full and so happy we chose Via Emilia for our anniversary dinner. Only complaint was the large loud family at the next table that let their toddlers run around the restaurant. Poor managers did the best they could to protect those kids and the staff from an accident. It’s not a place for kids and they were good for a while but just too much to expect toddlers will sit quietly in a fancy restaurant while the adults talk and ignore them.More
Great food!! I ate the carbonara and it was awesome! Also the calamari. Totally recommend maybe pizzas would be good to include in the menu
Our favorite for a relaxed date night. Not flashy, delicious food and pleasant atmosphere. We almost always sit at the bar to eat dinner by choice because of the friendly bartenders! Do not know why this shows $$$$, it is very modestly priced for the...wonderful quality of food!!!More
This is a wow place. Come hungry because all the food is delicious and you will want to eat. Bread before your meal is awesome but don’t fill up on it. We were a group of four and had fish, seafood, and lasagna dishes. Wine...list is one of the best we have seen. Several high end wine options. Note: on Wednesday’s they do half off bottle of wine for anything under $100. Service was excellent. This is formal dining without you having to be dressed or act formal. But you get treated formal. The kind of place you want to spend a couple of hours in enjoying your meal.More
