We caught a sunny day in December on a Monday. There was plenty of seating options so we choose outside looking over the canal. I had a Black and Tan and fish and chips. The fish was in small strips and like "finger food". They were really tasty. My wife had the brown derby salad that was loaded with "stuff".... More

Stopped off here for a few pints and some snacks. Lots of beers, the food was good and a reasonable price.

Great pub/diner/restaurant across the road from the main mall and cinema. Parking right next to the cinema or in the mall. Service was brilliant. Nice relaxed setting. Lovely views overlooking the canal/river from the terrace. The food was excellent and served expeditiously. Great choice of beverages. All in all, a brilliant experience for a Scottish family visiting Houston. Will definitely... More

This was a great catch. We felt like we had just climbed the beanstalk after climbing the steps. The place looked a bit too pricey considering its location but we checked the surprise on the menu. The food seemed to take a long time. We were even more surprised when our food came. It was awesome. Tasty large portions. The... More

Me and some friends went here for lunch. The Chicken Fried Chicken is awesome!! The artichoke dip was really good. They have a Bellini that is huge and really yummy. Our over all experience was amazing. Would totally eat here again.

Nice spot down one of those canals with rotting refuse. Inside though the beer is cold, service is good, and food tasty. Good gathering spot for a group. Two levels inside.

We went to Gooses to check out the antique bar that they had imported from Ireland as well as to have a Guinness or two. The food selection is average for an Irish Pub and the wait staff average as well. Lots of room downstairs and on the patios for outside festivities. If your in The Woodlands waterways and are... Loaded house salad and cobb salad are very good - for lunch I would order the small size unless you plan to take half to go because they are so large. Grilled chicken wrap is very good and also big enough for 2 meals. Ingredients are very fresh. Service is attentive and not intrusive.

I'm glad you've gotten the chance to try a couple of our salads and wraps! The grilled chicken wrap is one of my favorites, and of course, we're big fans of our house salad. With that said, we thank you for your support, and we sure hope your next visit with us isn't too far away! All the best, Brian... More

Went for a quick drink to The Goose's Acre. Nice waitress, but could not advice us in the beer menu. Like a vegetarian working in a steak house. However, all fine.

Thanks so much for stopping in for a quick drink, though, it's odd to hear you felt anything was less than wonderful. Especially since our entire menu is crafted with attention to authenticity, quality, and house-style. Perhaps there was simply a misunderstanding regarding your drink preferences, but I certainly hope we'll get another chance to share our cool brews and... More

Description
The Goose's Acre Irish Pub stood on Main Street, Midleton, Ireland, immediately in front of "The Goose's Acre," a historical landmark named by locals where geese gaggles grazed in the 1800's. The pub opened in 1886 and was handed down from father to son through the years. In 2005, the pub was forced to close to make way for new development. While back in Ireland visiting relations, Brian Young and Colm O'Neill proposed purchasing the contents of the pub, to include both bars, from the previous owner who was distraught over the pending loss of the pub's history and heritage. Although it meant shipping the pub across the Atlantic Ocean, the previous owner was ecstatic that The Goose's Acre Irish Pub would continue its traditions of bygone times. Brian Young and Colm O'Neill made the decision to bring this authentic pub to The Woodlands to share the romance and history of years past. We welcome you to pull up a chair and enjoy the experience of The Woodlands only authentic European Pub. You'll find Happy Hour (all day long!), a traditional yet inventive bar and dining menu, the best drinks a most a truly irreplicable Irish Pub feel with the beautiful, hardwood fixtures and original furnishings.
