Best Sushi in the area

Lots of choice, chefs choice of the day on board up back were rolling all happens, Sushi not your thing, lots of other choice's no long line, not going to break the bank remember its fish Friday time don't miss out, not a lot of fish in The Colony, love the staff salad with ginger dressing is not to miss

My friends and I went to Wasabi & Wok on a Saturday evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For an appetizer we ordered the Crab Rangoon, one of my friends had the House Special Lo Mein, the other had Beef with Mixed Vegetable and I had Moo Goo Gai Pan. The food was very good and they brought it out right away. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. It has a convenient location and affordable prices.

we were regulars , today we ordered a sushi special roll we had never ordered before, I have health issues and can not have spicy foods. The description of the roll listed the ingredients, none of which were spicy. We received the food, I ate a roll and it was so spicy it burnt my mouth, my thought and my tongue. My Husband took apart the roll and it was loaded with JALAPENOS in the middle. We were trying to speak with the owner and in the middle of our conversation, she answered the phone, walked away and never came back. When we placed our order, we asked her to verify that the roll wasn't spicy and was as listed on the menu, she answered no its not spicy and it is as listed on the menu. This its very scary, imagine if it was someone with a peanut allergy and they did not list it.. it could be deadly. They were rude, dismissive and did not care at all. They used to be good but sadly. not anymore,and now they are literally cavalier with peoples health. Stay away

Unhygienic, atrocious food handling.

Today, I ordered a simple combination fried rice with an order of spring rolls for my wife and I. I went to pick up the order and proceeded to drive home. Once at home, we each served ourself only to be absolutely disgusted. Prior to taking my first bite, I noticed a 2ft long black hair hanging from my fork. How does this occur if the food handlers are following health and food inspection requirements and wearing hair nets? If this establishment is not even abiding by something so menial as hair nets, who's to say they're washing their hands or wearing gloves prior to handling food? In these times of COVID-19, ordinary people are adamently following guidelines promoting cleanliness to ensure the prevention of spreading harmful bacteria to others. If we can follow these guidelines, shouldn't the people that handle hundreds of people's food be held to a higher standard? Upon calling the restaurant to inform them, the operator just assumed that I wanted a replacement or refund, I promptly refused both offers of appeasement and wanted to inform them of how appalling and dangerous their lack of hygiene is. It's an absolute disservice to customers expecting to enjoy a meal with family. If you want a safe, clean meal I highly recommend NOT going to Wasabi and Wok. Attached below are the pictures.

Very Disappointed. Over priced for quantity .. not fresh, FROZEN food Veggies were frozen ... cooked Chicken not fresh, frozen pre breaded NOT any better than Frozen Food in store HOT WOK 10 times better orange chicken and hunan chicken

If You Have Not Tried This - Do It Soon!

We live out of state and visit our son who lives in The Colony, TX. This is one of his "fav" places so we dined here this week. First of all, the staff is so, so special ... courteous, on-point, smiley. Our food was wonderful too - my hubby had the pork with noodles, I tried the fun noodles and our son had the special the "Luck" sushi. Again, fresh, tasty and nicely served.

Wide variety on the menu. Something for everyone. Made fresh to order. Sushi was delicious. I had a spicy Schezwan dish as well. Service was excellent . Very clean and well maintained. Moderately priced.

We've been here several times, and it is now our preferred sushi place, taking over from one much closer to our house. The sushi quality is excellent, and they sometimes have a 2 for 1 special on selected types of nigori sushi and sashimi. I love their flat rice noodles with beef. I used to order this a lot when I lived in London, and this place has the best I've found since. Quite frankly, I order it every time we go. Service is friendly and fast and the prices are reasonable. We are becoming regulars.

Pleasant Surprise!!

We were late...near closing time. But were pleasantly greeted and were served drinks quickly. Good size portions, but more importantly the taste was AWESOME!! It was more than we could eat, so we boxed and headed out....they met us at the door to say goodbye...so customer was awesome, as well. Definitely a go back.!! We had Roast Pork Lo Mein, Chicken curry, crab appetizers...all fabulous11

Pleasant Surprise

I have been by this place probably at least 100 times and never paid any attention to it. It is sandwiched between Dairy Queen and Schlotskys, both popular places for sure at lunch. We tried it out because of a hunger for Asian Food and I was very surprised. I am not a Sushi Fan but the Chinese Menu was just as good as any I have eaten locally and the place was very clean. When you walk in you are surprised out how big the place really is. I counted 20 tables. This is a nice place, good Chinese food with I thought reasonable prices. We will be back.

Late Night Dinner

Went here at 10 PM for an after-movie dinner. Both my wife and son said their sushi and rolls were excellent. My beef and broccoli was average, but not at all bad. They serve very, wine, and saki. Their menu includes both Japanese and Chinese dishes. Service was fast and friendly, and their prices reasonable.

This is one of the best places in the area for Asian food. Their sushi is great, and their entrees are delicious as well. I do wish they'd use white meat for their General Tso chicken, but that's my only complaint. The portions are more than fair. I've never had a bad dish from here, and if you eat in the restaurant, the staff is quite friendly and eager to please.

My BF and I though we would try this place since our favorite Sushi place KO had closed a while back due to The Colony refused to grant them a liquor license and we had been searching for a really good Sushi place ever since ... Anyway his family members have tried this place and said that they really liked it so we thought we would try it .. WOW!! What a mistake did we make by coming to this place!! As soon as we walked in this guy walk up starts talking to us, and that was fine asks if we were staying or if we were taking out, we told him we were going to look over the menu and take it with us ... OMG!!! He never SHUT UP!! He kept saying "You like fish? Have this one!" ""We have one avocado/shrimp/rice in Nori cone.. Really good You want that?!" "You need to have this one ... 8 pieces $14" or "this one 6 pieces only $12" I swear I thought my BF was going to punch him in the face!! My BF told him IN Japanese "I know what I am doing and I'll know what I'll want when I see it.. STOP TALKING!" ... He was SO RUDE and PUSHY... He just would NOT stop talking or shoving another menu in our face and pointing to things when we already had a menu we were looking at .. After about 10 min of this, we just had enough and just walked out and have and will be back!! Now his Step-sister goes there all the time, and she brought some food to her mom and apparently her mom was very upset Re: the amount of food that was gotten compared to the food that was given?? .. Just one more nail in the coffin for me. She said that the food was SO not worth the amt paid and the specialty and nori rolls are as thin as a cigar and you only 6 pcs. for $18 .. to me THAT's INSANE!! I'll go to a Super Kroger where they make Fresh Sushi right there and get 2 nice thick specialty/Nori roll and get 8-10 pcs (depending on the roll) and pay $6 - $7 and it still won't cost as much as i would pay for one at Wasabi & Wok!!
