Definitely one of the best restaurants in Texas City. If you're a sushi fan, they've got you covered. Fresh, huge portions and gorgeous presentation. If you're more of a katsu or teriyaki fan they have both the regular entree and the lunch bento box. The...fried rice is terrific as well as the soba noodles. My family loves to start with shrimp shumai and the gyoza - pork dumplings which can be ordered steamed or pan fried. For dessert don't miss the matcha ice cream.More
Food quality was Great! Service was especially great - waiter told us the name/purpose of each sauce. I grew up eating Japanese food/home cooked and restaurant based and by comparison this was very, very good! Its not cheap, however, but that's OK. One dish had...a TON of onions - could have done with a bit more substance and a tad fewer onions. Overall, VERY good!More
Didn't expect to find a good sushi restaurant in Texas City...but here it is. Lots of non-sushi options on their menu too, so this is a Japanese restaurant that caters to both sushi lovers and those that like their food cooked first.
Went here with my brother-in-law and we enjoyed the Japanese food, especially there egg rolls. We had the rice and chicken. It was good.
This is a quaint little sushi restaurant. The waiter was super nice. The Texas Roll was the bomb, a must try!!
We've been here a couple times now. Everything we've ordered has been awesome. Fried rice, Lo mien, Soba soup, edamame, gyoza, rock shrimp....
The food here is good. They are not that fast. I really like the miso soup. I suggest calling and carrying out if you are in a hurry. However, the soup doesn’t travel well.
What a grand culinary experience. The interior of the building has been completely renovated. Subtle blue lighting in the ceiling. A fully stocked bar and an outstanding Japanese menu. The presentation of the food is of "photo required" appeal. And the taste,,,you have to try...it. A very broad menu and reasonably priced.More
It is pretty tough finding good restaurants in Texas City. Gringo's for Mexican and Olive Garden for Italian American are acceptable places to eat, and unfortunately they were among the best Texas City offered. Edo Japan is a new restaurant that could be the best...eatery in Texas City. From the outside it is typical Texas City and a place I would normally drive by, but when I walked inside I felt like I was transported to a high end Galleria area restaurant. The interior is very modern with a first class decor and sushi bar. For me it is the most visually appealing restaurant in the city. The menu has a wide variety of sushi, sashimi and hand roll choices (cooked and raw) but there are also wonderful hibachi and teriyaki choices for those that like well cooked hearty choices. Portion sizes are huge. Meals like Hibachi Filet Mignon, Hibachi Red Snapper and Hibachi Shrimp & Lobster are among the 20 different Hibachi dinners. I loved the Philadelphia roll (cheese, avocado and smoked salmon) as a shareable appetizer. There is the standard Japanese Miso Soup, lunch bento boxes as well as several noodle and other soups. Service is excellent. This is a very good Japanese restaurant with very reasonable prices. If you are open to trying Japanese cuisine and being able to keep your shoes on, this is the best place in town.More
I was not expecting to run in to such a wonderful Japanese eatery as this. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! A perfect dinner for our entire family as I could get sushi , my husband could get teriyaki and my daughter...could get edamame so everyone was happy!More
The staff is very friendly. Food is great and prices are not bad either. You get a good amount of food for your money.
Friendly services, nice atmosphere, great food. You really can't ask for much more from a restaurant.
