We are frequent flyers to El Chico. Excellent wait staff and great food. But our favorite two items are not on the menu (sortof). The flavorful salsa is to die for. I could ever an entire quart at each sitting. They give you individual salsa bowls so double dipping is completely legal. Chips are hot, fresh and thin!!! Yum!! Second... More

When they say grilled Fajitas, they aren't lying!! Great fire-grilled taste on the steak and chicken. The sides are great as well especially the serving size of them. Found out they have half price Fajitas on Thurs after 5pm so that might become a weekly tradition.

New menu items. Good food, great service, friendly manager, good location. Always accomodating if need to change menu item - flour vs corn tortillias , sauces, etc.

I have eaten dinner here on two separate occasions traveling to Austin recently. I have always eaten at El Chico for consistent and reliable "go to" Tex-Mex for years. As everyone knows even though it's a chain, consistency can vary between locations in different parts of the state or country. This El Chico is well run with friendly service and... More

Quick lunch. Started with queso. Love their tortilla soup--get the cup… The bowl is really big. Husband got the beef enchilada dinner--his favorite!

Food took FOREVER getting to us. Waitress was way too friendly instead of tending to order. Chips before meal? Forget about it. They came with the meal. Expensive and not family friendly.

This El Chico has been here for a while and the food is always good. The manager is very friendly and always walking around and checking on his customers. It's a great place with great food! Definitely worth a try!

Staff is friendly, we like ED, he is a great waiter. The salsa and chips are the best around. Food is always good, cooked to perfection, and a great price for the whole family to sit down for dinner.

Good food with a great bargain! The food has more spice than the old recipes but it is also much more varied. The appetizers (nachos and chicken/jalapeno bites) are great, especially with the guacamole spread. Not a fan of the spicy refried beans but the burritos are very good. Wife loved the enchiladas. The dessert (chocolate brownie cake with ice... More
