We stopped here while traveling. This is definitely NOT Kansas City or Memphis barbeque. It was only okay. Beans were soup beans. We had the chopped brisket sandwich, pork sandwich, and the chicken. My daughter liked her 1/2 chicken. If I am ever in the area again, I will keep traveling. On top of it, the lady at the order... More

We have driven by this place several times and it has been closed but today we were lucky and it was opened. We had the chopped brisket sandwich, the chicken, sliced brisket and sausage plates. Everything was good the chicken was a little tough like it was not good and defrosted before cooked. The beans and cornbread were also good.... More

When I was young I loved eating here. I left Sweetwater and every time I come back whether it is for the Rattlesnake Roundup or visiting friends and family, I must stop by and eat there at least once. The building looks completely different when seen from the outside and the inside. The place is always clean and tidy. Best... More

Service was friendly and accommodating. The food was not quite consistent. We had sausage, ribs, turkey and brisket. The brisket was good, the sausage OK, the turkey was good and the ribs needed a little more time in the smoker, they were not quite as tender as they should have been. Overall an acceptable option when traveling through, though, when... More

We were traveling to San Antonio and found this place just off I-20. We stopped in and had a nice lunch. We had the lunch special which was plenty of food. My wife had the brisket sandwich and I had the sausage sandwich. Both had good flavor and the meat was moist. We were ahead of the lunch crowd and... More

We are from Dallas and were on our way home from a week long trip touring route 66. Wasn't sure what we would find in Sweetwater to cure our hunger as we meandered off the highway into town, stumbled on Big Boy's. This place was great from the BBQ flavor, to the décor and the bathrooms were very clean. Don't... More

I mistakenly went to this restaurant. I made the wrong turn and thought I was at the right place. Even though I was not at the right place, the FOOD was RIGHT! I had ribs and brisket and both of them were on POINT!!! It was the best brisket I'd had to date. So, get 'lost' so you can find... More

Walked in to an AMAZING smell of smoked meat! The smell was greatly surpassed by the DELICIOUS flavor! I had the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of coleslaw. I very highly recommend it. Even better-Jane's famous key lime pie! Perfect tartness!!

This is a great place to stop for a sit down while traveling. Food is very good and it was prepared fast. Great place to stop for quick meal that beats all fast food. The brisket and sides were delicious.
