Very friendly out going family run business. The food is to die for. The food they serve is different than any other food served in Surfside Beach, TX.

My girls and I love their burgers, and taco salad! Very nice and clean with very fast and friendly service. We will be back for sure!
We stopped by to eat lunch on the way to the beach and it was such a treat! The brisket Parfait is a brilliant idea and was delicious. The owner, Karen, was incredibly sweet and we enjoyed talking to her and hearing their story. Great...place and a must stop on the way for a day in the sun. We can’t wait to go back!More
We love Sugar Skull! Everything we ordered was delicious! Saturday breakfast (served all day) was to die for! And the service is impeccable! Strongly recommend stopping by this food truck if you’re at Surfside Beach!
Reading the great reviews for this little place before we traveled to this area from Pa, I knew it was a must visit for us, so when we first came over the causeway I looked to the right and saw a sight that you do...not see in my place of residence...a drive through daquiri place! Thinking this was rather unique but not something I cared to participate in, I tucked it in my memory banks and throughout the week chuckled as I thought about it. I was surprised when later during our stay, we decided to visit the Sugar Skull and we wound up on the same unique corner. The Sugar Skull Rolling Cafe was and is the salvation for this special conglomeration of eclectic merchants. Great friendly staff greet you with a genuine smile, offering the best from heavenly sources, including barista service and delicious food for hungry tummies and souls. The macdaddy with fresh tomato basil soup was outstanding! Different? Yes! Delicious? Yes! Surprising? Yes! Satisfying? Eternally! Come to the Sugar Skull and it just might change you!More
I love this food truck, Karen and Preacher and everything I have tasted from them. Their food is fresh, like a half pineapple filled with hot rice and chicken with grilled pineapple. Two fat potstickers top it off. The brisket in anything should not be...missed. Even their ice tea is memorable.More
Just about a half a block from where the highway turns into beach, you'll find a food truck covered in colorful sugar skulls and emblazoned with a cleverly appropriate slogan: "Food To Die For." For you Instagramming foodies out there, their official hashtag is #food2die4....Let me just start by saying that Karen and Tim are awesome folks and you will know in the first 30 seconds at the order window that they are undoubtedly doing what they absolutely LOVE to do. This isn't greasy tacos filled with mystery meat, or some funky kale & quinoa hipster chow. The exquisite nourishment that will be passed lovingly out that window and into your hands has been carefully concocted, sculpted and garnished so as to amaze your eyes, ignite your tastebuds and give you a warm and fuzzy feeling all over. Oh, and did I mention the part about making all your Instagram followers jealous as they drool on their smartphones?? Here's a quick assessment of things I've tried so far, and believe me, I'm going back for more: Brisket Parfait - Everything you love about BBQ (Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Gravy and Cheese) all artfully layered into a parfait cup like a South Texas dessert masterpiece. The Surfside Love Boat - Picture perfect and 100% biodegradable, this light and delicious meal is perfect for a day on the beach: Grilled chicken breast and pineapple over white rice with teriyaki sauce and pot stickers, and served inside the cored pineapple like it belongs on a buffet table at a luau The Mac Daddy - WARNING: Eating this will likely cause a food induced coma lasting 2-4 hours. Disclaimer out of the way, this "Sammich" is one of the most incredible things I've ever put in my mouth. This ain't your momma's grilled cheese sandwich... Two thick slabs of grilled Texas Toast can barely contain the mac & cheese inside, but Tim didn't stop there. It's got BBQ sauce AND BACON!! And just as your tastebuds are reeling from the flavor explosion, that's when it hits you: dip the sammich in the tomato basil soup that comes on the side... BOOM! Off the charts! I've had $100 meals that didn't blow me away like this $10 lunch. The Jasmine Peach Tea is incredibly refreshing and if you need a little more pep in your step after baking on the beach all day, the cold brew coffee is smooth and delicious with a premium octane rating. Blah blah blah... Just go there. You won't regret it.More
