We visit relatives over Christmas and Aling's has become a tradition. Excellent food. Very tasteful and something for everyone's taste. We ordered to go. Food was ready when they said it would be. We ordered several different dishes to share as well as appetizers. Everyone...like what they ordered and shared. Met the owner when we arrived. Very friendly as was the staff we met. Great place to eat.More

Recently my friend and I went to dinner at the restaurant. We like the food and order take-out at times. However, at the table, our server did not wear a mask while all the other servers were wearing it—our server we taking to us very...close to our breathing space. So we ask him why he isn't t wearing a mask like others? He replied, " I don't have to, and I am vaccinated " We don't know if he was telling the truth). So we asked for the manager. The owner (Irfan) told us we don't have a restaurant policy to have our servers wear masks. It is a free country, and they have the right to do what they want (even at risking the customers). He did not apologize at all. He did say move to another table with the mask-wearing server. But he had an attitude that we don't care (as his restaurant was 50% full). So we walked out of the restaurant and decided never to come back. We recognize that all have their choices in life, and so do we not to encounter such arrogant restaurant owners.More

We refer to it as “Chindian Food”. One of our favorite places when we get the urge to fire it up a bit. The hot and sour soup is incredible. Not a traditional h/s offering. Good kick. Corn chowder is a more mild touch. We...are hooked on the chili chicken and chili shrimp. It comes std warmer than many might be ready for, but the will dial it back if you ask. Lunch specials come with a great long grain basmati rice with a delightful herb sauce to add. Dinner hours and weekend the menu is even bigger. I think their traditional Chineese offerings are good, but their Indian influences of spices and heat to the Chindian offerings are so unique.....not found anything close here in Houston area!More

Went to Aling's while visiting relatives over Christmas. Very nice newer facility. Wide selection on the menu. Very busy as we were there on Christmas Eve, but everyone worked hard for the customers. Many excellent dishes to choose from. Everyone had something different and all...were good. Staff and management were very customer oriented. Well worth a try if you have not been there.More

Pretty disgusted with the auto addition of gratuity when they included people who did not eat. For gratuity purposes, they counted people who did not eat at all. If the gratuity was really for the servers, the servers did not do anything for the people...who did not eat. It is unethical.More

The ambience was average. The food was indo chinese and spicy, inspite of asking for non-spicy food. The taste and preparations were average. The portions for each dish was conservative. All in all, the experience was just satisfactory.

If you are ever in the mood for Hakka style Chinese cuisine - Alings is the best Indo-Chinese food I have ever had. To be fair the owner Gary is my childhood friend, but the food here is nonetheless amazing. Shrimp 88, Crispy beef and...Singapore noodles were delicious. Do not miss the kulfi to end an amazing meal.More

We took a chance and arrived late just after 10:00pm. The restaurant was very busy but they promised to seat us within 5 to 10 minutes and did. Very good service. Food was good and well presented. Reasonably priced.

Ailing's Hakka Chinese Restaurant, manager/owner is an Indian. Food quality is not good, it is neither Indian nor Chinese. Food is on the expensive side and it is not worth it. When we there, the Manager, an Indian guy treated the customer quite disrespectfully. So...I will not go again and will not recommend it to anyone.More

We visited the new location in Sugarland. Decor was impressive and updated. We ordered Chicken lolipop and chilli pepper shrimp as appetizers. Taste was good but too much food coloring in the food. Main course was schewan fried rice and ginger chicken. Fried rice was...ok, ginger chicken was tangy. We mentioned it to the manager and he suggested we tryout chilli chicken gravy. They brought the dish out quickly. It tasted better than ginger chicken. Lyche sake was good. Overall food was good but food coloring spoiled the apetite.More

Hidden from Highway 90A in the second row of a strip mall. Service was poor for our group of seven. We requested for green tea, and the water was forgotten. We did get the water later, but the staff assumed that with the tea water...wasn't necessary. We ordered an appetiser, and it never arrived. We were informed that it was coming but after the soup arrived had to speak to the manager about the missing appetiser. Apparently the computer system failed with that order only! The main course was good - we ordered the lunch specials - chilly prawns, garlic prawns and Vegetable Manchurian. The chilly prawns were hot, but the colour was too black. In both the prawn dishes the prawn size was good, I think five large prawns each. Dessert ordered were Lychee Ice cream, which was tasteless, and FBI (Banana slices fried in batter, with vanilla ice cream ), the batter was hard and tasteless.More

Are you a "Desi" based in USA? Find the Chinese Food in China Town to be too mild and not spicy enough? Missing the "Indian Chinese" food? Then, go to Aling's Hakka Chinese Cuisine Restaurant! Practically all the Chinese dishes you can lay your hands...on in India are available here, and more! The "Indian-Chinese" owner has also ensured that portion sizes are very "American". Had ordered the food on phone on several occasions, and then decided to go there for a meal. If their service quality to be better, they could have got a 5/5 rating!More
