We heard about Rose Hill from friends that visit there every year. We finally decided to make reservations and go ourselves. Our intentions of a relaxing weekend get-a-way, close to home, was not denied as we could feel ourselves unwinding the moment we turned into the long rolling driveway. This lead us to the main house, which reminded me of... More

This is a great location - away from the city in a beautiful part of Texas. It was a clean and quiet place, but based on our two night stay, I would not recommend staying at Rose Hill Manor. Driving up to the property, we were met by the smell of raw sewage. Instead of extending the system closer to... More

I did a complete review of the food in my review of the Manor. It was outstanding. I had read some reviews that they had discontinued the 3 course dinner infavor of a buffet. For some reason, we got the seated dinner. We were told that it is a buffet at times. That might be a point to check when... More

Unfortunately, as of August 2, 2015, Rose Hill Manor has announced it has discontinued its formal 3 course dinner. Instead, an evening buffet will be offered to its staying guests.

The covered patio provided comforable shaded seating with a lovely view. Our group of seven enjoyed a relaxed wine -tasting prelude to dinner. Our selections went from pizza to steak, and included fried oysters and steamed clams and steamed mussels. Each dish met or exceeded expectations in flavor and presentation. Freshness prevailed...this is not a high volume eatery, so making... More

The food was perfect. The service was perfect. The outdoors porch was perfect as the sunset with a nice meal, a beautiful woman, and a nice glass of wine! Come check out this place. You won't be sorry you did.

I tried on several occasions to make reservations at The Austin Restaurant at the Rose Hill Manor. Left several messages including messages as to the purpose of my phone call and never received a call back. It was our anniversary and we were hoping to make it a nice night at Rose Hill Manor but found a very nice place... More

My husband & I stayed in Oak Grove Cottage @ Rose Hill Manor - WOW was it ever a beautiful, comfortable room! Views from our front deck were spectacular! Overlooked herb garden & open pasture. The food!! We felt as if we had a personal chef! It was a outstanding dinner & breakfast was equally outstanding. Watched deer cross the... More

Very intimate, romantic atmosphere. Gourmet set menu. Service really good and sommelier present to assist with wine pairings. Catered fairly well to my gluten intolerance though I would have liked to have a gluten free choice for my main course. Only gave one gluten free option ( fish) and option to "upgrade" to a steak at extra cost. Everything else... More
