We ate here, the service was excellent, the food was good. Was it authentic? I don't know. But pricey for the food served. Take it or leave it

The price of the food goes up with each visit and the portions get smaller and smaller. The fill your plate with fries and very little of what you are actually ordering, but the food is still delicious. Love the oysters and hot boiled shrimp.
For years our family has BRAGGED that Pappadeaux has the GREATEST Stuffed Shrimp in the USA. Last night ordered Stuffed shrimp and was SUPER DISAPPOINTED with the NEW batter. Tasted like MEALY cornbread. NOT GOOD!!!! WHY change PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you change the batter back to previous recipe or we WILL not return.
I'm really having difficulty ending this relationship but I think I must accept that for Pappadeux's...blackened means extra salty and butter sauce means, lemon sauce with butter. A great seafood restaurant! Food served hot and fairly quickly. We live in the area and go there from time to time. My favorite is the Pasta Mardi Gras! My husband loves the crawfish etouffee. Family friendly, and is loud due to low ceilings, music and crowd noise. Must try this one.
Always a great time and excellent for happy hour. Food is always prepared just right and the attention to service is outstanding.
Feeling like seafood? Want the best? Here it is! Had giant shrimp and cheesy grits. Soooo good. Grilled, tasty, tender flavorful shrimp. No room for dessert tonight. Highly... More
Pappadeaux is a good place to go for any occasion but excellent for happy hour. My friends and I meet there 2-3 times a month. Everything on the menu is good and the happy hours drinks are delicious. They have the best baked potatoes and all of their seafood dishes are very tasty.
Great food, always consistently prepared (quality control), great atmosphere. Expect to spend about $40 per person minimum. I've been going to Papa's restaurants for over 25 years.
