We had been to this particular Kim Son on a weekday evening when the restaurant only had 4 or 5 other couples dining. This Sunday when we returned in the early afternoon, the restaurant was completely packed with folks waiting outside. It was Dim Sum Sunday noon meal time! I found the restaurant overly crowded, overly noisy, and overly unkempt.... More

I was visiting Houston and my friends took me to Kim Son for a much needed lunch since we were all hungry. It definitely hit the spot. There were not too many people when we got there but the ambience was good with their nice long aquarium. The cook was on a break so we couldn't have one particular dish... More

Went for dinner last night. Ordered Saigon Noodle Soup for $ 9.25. Menu said "shrimp, bbq pork and noodles in chicken broth"... well they meant it literally.. there was just ONE small shrimp, spoonful of sorry looking bbq pork and bowl full of half cooked noodles... when I complained to the manager, she says costs and rents have gone up... Good lunch options. Right size portions and tasty. If they can serve little faster that would be awesome. Very good location. Lots of parking spots.

Tried a late lunch, not great, food seemed to be thrown in the "special" chicken soup sliced chunks that wee still stuck together, soup was not served hot. While main order was served hot, the mess with the rice pancakes dipped in water caused it all to get cold. Putting the meal on the pancakes is very messy, no finger... More

Had a good dinner. Good service, good food, decent prices. Liked the location and had no problem getting in at dinner time.

I had dim sum with relatives and the taste if okay. The average dim sum we have is above $5. Lots of people and relative few waiters. When we got the check, the bill was $64+ with forced in tip for 5 people, the total is $82+.

Kim Son has always been a great place for Great Asian food. BUT our main dishes were just about all vegetables....very little beef, pork or even shrimp. Maybe one can understand one dish, but when all the dishes have very little meat or seafood, they are trying to save money. Maybe slightly raise prices, but make the dish worthwhile

Awful experience today. I frequent this restaurant and the food is wonderful. Today I decided to have the Dim Sum and only 3 carts stopped by to offer me food. At least twenty carts passed by me and the servers went right past me and stopped at the tables behind and across from me. I called for the manager and... More

Extensive menu, attentive service, great tasting food. I fried Pot Stickers as an appetizer and the Orange Shrimp with white rice. The Pot Stickers and shrimp were very good, with a definate flavor of orange in the shrimp.
