We were a group of 7 on a seminar break for lunch, so we wanted good service, decent food & that's what we got. The appetizers we ordered to share were average & I was surprised the fried green tomatoes & fried zucchini batters contained so much cornmeal. (I'm NOT a fan of cornmeal.) The beer-battered onion rings tasted more... More

Chef Vincent makes what I feel is the best seafood gumbo ever! There is a wide assortment of fried and grilled seafood, all served with appropriate sides. The bread pudding is something to die for!

October 14, 2015. We meet our daughters and their families for a family get together. We were very pleased with the server. He was very friendly and efficient. The food was very well prepared and we were very pleased with the results.

I wanted seafood for dinner and expected to pay a pretty price for it. But we stumbled across Pier 61 and decided to give it a try. It isn't much to look at from the outside, and inside was not particularly trendy. But the food was very good, and we will eat there again if we are in the area.

We've visited Pier 61 from it's beginnings long ago in Rosenberg, and the food has only improved (not that it needed improvement!). Chef Vincent prepares consistently delicious entrees from the very freshest ingredients. No matter the time of day you visit, you can count on quality, consistent food, courteous service and you won't be disappointed! The fried catfish is excellent... More

Dislike--None of the staff looked up and acknowledged us when we walked in. It took about 2 minutes before anyone made eye contact and said, "Be with you in a minute." I would have liked more grilled options on the menu, but the fried food was very good. The prices were very good, and there is plenty of food. Thinking... More

A great place for fish in the area. I can recommend it highly. come early because it's always busy. The waitress was attentive and even though we had a group of seven, we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Good portions, well prepared. It's as good as all the reviews you read. Great decor too.

Seedy neighborhood. Only 3 people there when I arrived. Should have known. Ordered a plain old fried seafood platter. Took a bite of an oyster ........ and promptly spit it out. On it's way to well spoiled. Tried another ........ ditto. Lets move on to crawfish. Same song, spoiled. Catfish was okay. McDonald's fries are better. When I told all... More

Sept. 2014-The value was ok, the service was good, not excellent. I had Redfish, smaller portion and a little over done but tasted fresh, served with nice veggies. I added blackened shrimp, the entire portion didn't over fill me. NOW, the craw fish étouffée was something else, tasty but definitely not traditional Cajun. In French, the word étouffée literally means... More

Seen many times driving past. Had planned for Pitchfork Steakhouse - wonder its closed. So tried Pier 61. Food was good, and sufficient, served hot. Prices reasonable. Tuesday evening not many customers.
