Restaurant is small which is nice. The service was great and the food we ordered was all very good -- my steak was cooked perfectly and my lemon drop was delicious. Server was great at advising regarding gluten free options for me. I'd only add...More

The setting of the place very nice, the parking, easy access, the staff super friendly and not rushing us at all at any time. The quality of the food was great, the calamari appetizer: delicious!! I had the snapper with the most delicious scallops covered...More

I really wanted to love this place. Great service, particularly by Jeremy, and a really nice looking restaurant. The filet was salty, grouper was too soft/mushy, risotto was overpowered by basil. Not sure we will be back.

We invited a client and his wife for dinner at The Refuge. My husband and I ordered the 6 oz filet for $32, sides cost extra. I ordered mine medium well. 1) These were the smallest 6 oz filets we had ever seen. 2) Mine...More

Went for a meal with a colleague. I had the 10 oz filet with lump crab cake ($48), which is a pretty high price in suburban Houston. The filet was good and cooked as I ordered, but the additional $7 (over the $48) I paid...More

Came in for a quick bite on a Monday night-usually a busy “runners group” night, however impeding weather thinned crowd. Great prosciutto bruschetta! Biggest disappointment was when I said I wasn’t a bourbon drinker-would have thought as a craft cocktail location, suggestions of other spirits...More

So, we have been here a few times. Usually, we just go for Happy Hour, which is very affordable. Good selection of wines and bar foods. This time we went for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner. This was our best experience yet. The food and...More

Terrific atmosphere and decor. Service was excellent. Filet was delicious - cooked perfectly, garlic mashed potatoes and Brussel Sprouts had great flavor. We will definitely return again.

I already loved The Refuge Bar & Bistro. The steakhouse is just a step in the right direction. They took their commitment to service from the bar to the restaurant. Highly recommend either Refuge.
