We stopped in for lunch while I was visiting some friends down here and I felt right at home. This is a first class burger joint. The cheese burger was cooked to order, medium rare and the fixings were fresh. The fried pickles were tasty with just a little kick. The fried okra was delicious and the onion rings were excellent. Friendly folks, Great food, and exceptional service.

We LOVED our visit here. Took a break from Krause Springs and drove over here. Delicious hamburgers, corn dogs and ice cream! The owner is super friendly. They don't pre-make anything. Delicious onion rings. Nothing fancy but great food. Definitely will return!!

The tell tale sign of a hockey puck tossed on the griddle to make a burger plus a Sam’s club bun on a paper plate…. Is it so hard to use fresh ground beef and make a proper burger? Order the pizza????Frozen Walmart crust, tossed in the oven with some jarred tomato sauce. Italian sandwich is pretty good. So is the Philly and Gyro.

We live in the area and Lee’s Almost by the Lake is one of the many reasons why. Food is fresh and great, service is how it should be...and was everywhere around here 50 years ago: friendly, down to earth, and they treat everyone well. Jeanine the owner is super nice. Dog friendly on a/c enclosed porch. Homemade soups and ice cream a bonus. Call in at lunchtime, it gets busy. Great after a day on the water. Fascinating stuff tacked to the walls.
Have a meal here. You’ll be glad you did.

This is the kind of place time forgot; ;the kind of place you won't find in the more homogenized suburbs even though it's only 2 miles off Rt 71. The owners and staff were genuinely friendly; they clearly enjoy what they are doing. I'm originally from Philly and while the cheesesteak won't make me forget the hometown version, it was great beef mixed smartly with cheese, onions, peppers, and mushrooms on a fresh roll. Based on other reviews, I got the onion rings which were fine, but pretty standard. Topped off with a scoop of homemade ice cream, this place will transport you back in time as far as your memory can go. Probably draws in the boat people on weekends, but when I visited on a Tuesday night, the patrons all looked to be long-time locals (not new Texans like me) and that's a good sign.

This is a very laid-back, relaxed kinda place. The first part of the restaurant allows dogs inside ~ very nice! It is air conditioned too! We had CheeseSteak and fries. The CheeseSteak was very, very good; fries just ok, but would definitely go back get another CS! Would try other foods too, because the place did smell really good! Menu is not large, but what is on it all sounds good. Staff was very friendly and nice; even brought a water bowl over for our babies ~ our kinda place. If you like relaxed comfortable atmosphere with good food would recommend you try it!

I've been telling neighbors about Lee's for years, and it tuns out that everyone knows about it -- but haven't tried it. OK, I admit that from the outside it is clear this is not a fine dining place. And really the inside isn't a lot better (but it is clean). So what? I always do take-out and the food is fantastic. Service is also great. The first time I went in that day's special included Beef Stroganoff Soup. Never heard of that at any other place, and it was fabulous. I have also taken out Philly Cheese Steaks -- and they are unbeatable. This is truly a hole-in-the wall gem.

Pretty much what all 4 & 5 stars wrote, but I loved the Onion Rings with Chili-Cheese.
Also, the hamburger was perfect for me. Wasn't too keen on the fried long puffy desert, but over all very happy, very full and amazed what a fun place (simple as it may appear) to have when headed out this part of the lake. The locals are lucky to have a pizza & down-home comfort grub! It was nice to see Gyro's and other stuff on the menu too!
I appreciated this place and would return, if visiting friends in the area, fishing or boating on the lake. The fact they're not pretentious is a plus! I hope they stick around for some time to come so I can take my daughter here. . .
Note: I wrote another review on Google (read more extensively there) about this wonderful place in detail.

When we go fishing at Pace Bend and come out empty handed, we go to Lee's and order the fried catfish dinner. If you can't catch 'em, buy 'em. They also make an excellent cheeseburger. The place is small, old & quaint. It's an old school dive bar style eatery. Nothing fancy, but feels like home.

We regularly order to go at Lee's and they always answer promptly and cheerfully. Burgers, Philly cheese steak, and fries taste great and good portion size for the price. One suggestion, ask for toasted buns on both sides, makes burger taste even better.

Don’t be put off by outside appearance because you will miss great comfort food with an old Texas ambience. Lee’s has a great menu of burgers, sandwiches, gyros and pizza. Did not try the pizza but burgers, BLT, fries and onion rings were world class. Close your eyes and your in the 50s with a friendly staff. If your out for a drive in the Hill Country around Pace Bend this is the place to stop.
A complete breakfasts menu is available only on Saturday morning.

This place is the epitome of small, quirky Texas charm. Try the catfish dinner or grab a cheeseburger & fries, then relax and chat with the locals. If the cool laid-back lake vibe doesn't win you over, the food will.

We always get burgers and curly fries and jalapeno poppers. All are great. The best burger around! Great service too! We got some of their homemade ice cream tonight, it's excellent. If you're in the area check them out, you won't be disappointed
