Unfortunately, I do get to South Padre Island as often as I would like. For years, I have frequently Dirty Al's and it is consistently good. The fish is always fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned. The Ceviche is excellent and I always opt for the Blackened Grilled Fish Tacos. They are tasty and a large portion accompanied by very good... More

We have only visited a few places that do seafood really well and Dirty Al's is one. I really enjoyed the calamari. The atmosphere wasn't great, but the food made it worth it.

We went for lunch and so glad we decided to order the pound of New Orleans shrimp appetizer. It was the best shrimp I have ever had. Dirty Al's is a place we will visit each time we come to the island.

My wife and I are celebrating 35th anniversary with a long weekend stay on S Padre. Dirty Al's was recommended by a former local now living in Austin. While not big fried food fans, we had fried...calamari, shrimp, and fish...and of course, fries. All was very good. Seated immediately and order taken promptly. All were friendly and helpful.

Very crowded place. Had to go and see it since everyone talked about it. Service was ok.Draft beer was 1.50.There were better places for shrimp on the island.

My wife and I attended at Dirty Al's for lunch and we were quickly seated and our order was taken quickly. We have at here in the past so we decided to share our food because we were going out later in the evening for a valentines dinner. About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
