The Happy Hour specials here are a real bargain. A good example is the 3 way shrimp. The happy hour (4-6) price is $9.99. At 6:05 p.m. it's $21. Their craft beer is also a good deal. Pre 6 o'clock it's $3 for a pint and $4.50 afterwards. The staff will make sure you get your order in before time

Have been here many times while visiting the island. This last time we were a group of 9 adults and 2 children. We had great service and food. There is something for everyone on the menu. We usually get their fried fish basket or meal, the kids had the pizza. I've tried thier salads, which are beautiful, fresh, and very... More

The atmosphere is local, friendly and loud when fully occupied. They make you feel as though they have known you for years and that is true for many of the patrons who consider it "their place". Since we feel this way, too, after spending the last three months down here, we have sampled most of the menu. Everything is good... More

We are here on a Thursday night on the recommendation of some other visitors who said they enjoyed the pizza. We ordered 2 different pizzas and both crusts were dough-y. What made it worse is that our waitress never came back to check on the food so we could ask her to have them throw it back in for a... More

The only brewery for hundreds of miles and they're doing a great job! The master brewer is 3rd generation, his beers are above average. And they also serve some pretty good food! Large variety, reasonably priced. Try the Mexican plate special ( I think on Wednesdays).

They have wonderful lunch specials. The service was quick and friendly. The portions are fairly large so remember that when ordering. They have some local beers and can describe them to you. They have some very interesting appetizers so be sure to check them out! Many of them are plenty large enough to share!

Ate here twice. Minnesota roots. Has Hamms, Schmidt, and Grain Belt beer logos around. Get here before 6:00. Happy hour with great beer and specials on food. Good raw oysters. Fish and shellfish very good also. If I was staying on the island for awhile I could eat here most any night.

We went twice during our week on SPI primarily for the 50 cent oysters between 3-6 pm. The beer is pretty good and the service is excellent. A must stop while you are visiting the island.

Brewmaster Markk Haggenmiller will chat you up, that's how I learned he's a third generation brewmatser ... His grandfather ran an oyster and brew pub in Germany a hundred years ago or so. His father was then an immigrant who brought that brewing tradition to Hamm's and other Mid-America breweries. Now decades later Markk Haggenmiller continues old-world brewing techniques using... Description
"The gastropub movement is well-represented on South Padre Island at Padre Island Brewing Company. Rotating draft selections include several styles of handcrafted suds; Texas Long Board Lager, Tailing Red Amber, and Speckled Trout Stout are among my favorites, when available. If you can’t make up your mind, get the “Sampler Tray,” a tasting of all five beers currently on tap. The menu is extensive—“peel and eat” shrimp, spicy wings, and fried calamari are popular appetizers, as are the chips-and-guacamole combo, ceviche, and nachos. The bar has won an award for its pizza, but I recommend the burgers. If you’re really hungry, order the Texas Burger, a double-patty, one-pound monster topped with jalapenos, mushrooms, and cheese. From the seafood menu, beer-battered shrimp is an obvious choice, and the tuna and flounder are also excellent." From Texas Highways Magazine, June 2015
